BRUCE: The Game is a cyberpunk/noir platform game and the debut of the Polish studio Tabasco Interactive. BRUCE: The Game rather clearly refers to the classics like Ridley Scott's cult movie Blade Runner or Frank Miller's comic book series Sin City. The game takes place in a rainy, futuristic world, where Bruce, our protagonist, does many various quests and faces enemies. We observe the action from the classic side-scrolling perspective. Bruce uses all kinds of weapons and special abilities during our adventures, including bullet time, known from the Max Payne series. Gameplay focuses on dynamic and spectacular action and, at the same time, presents a mature, entertaining story with interesting NPCs. The game has hand drawn, noir-inspired visuals.

The second expansion to Crusader Kings II: Dark Ages, a successful strategy game released in 2012 by Paradox Interactive. As the name suggests, Crusader Kings II: Legacy of Rome concentrates on the legacy left by the Roman Empire. The expansion allows the player to assume the role of the ruler of the Byzantine Empire or its part. The new challenge that the player must face are his vassals who represent various factions that not only compete with each other but are also ready to unite against their ruler. Joining one of these factions can provide political bonuses and help deal with conspirators. The military aspect of the game was changed and the role of the commanders was increased – their abilities and traits can now strongly affect the outcome of battles. Army mobilization system was simplified and an option to permanently hire mercenary armies was added. Among other novelties there is ruler development system, the possibility to assign orthodox patriarchs and a series of unique decisions and historical events.

Playing as one of them you get to freely explore the world and interact with other characters to influence their fate and behavior. The game was designed for multiple playthroughs, each time to discover something new and shape the story differently. The game’s world created with CryEngine 3 features high level of interactivity, as almost every object can be manipulated.

In the game, you assume the role of 10-year-old Sebastien who, after his parents die, is placed in an orphanage in North-East France. As it turns out, there are no supervisors in the facility, and the children have established several independent communities which fiercely fight for survival. Gameplay is divided into 12 chapters, and there are around 60 quests, during which you have to e.g. face childhood fears and gain allies. The title features unusual, black-and-white visuals and original character models.
