A turn-based strategy game created by the indie developer Nine Tales Digital. The game combines the universes known from two games - Desert Ashes and Pocket God. The gameplay is divided into two segments. The first one allows you to overlook a map of the fantasy world and move your units on it. When you encounter an enemy you are moved to a battlefield where you lead your men to battle in which each of the sides uses their abilities alternately. Because each of the units has their unique abilities and statistics the key to success lies in choosing your heroes wisely. The tasks, that the developers of Pocket God vs. Desert Ashes give us, are based on both eliminating all enemies and capturing special strongholds. Each of the campaigns offers a different balance of power and a map – it should be mentioned that maps also change because of the day and night cycle. The game can be played in a single player mode as well as together with friends; you can also play campaign scenarios in co-op mode. In the multiplayer mode one player commands the defenders and the second one leads the invaders. The game has simple yet very original visuals.

The core of the gameplay is nearly identical to that known from Infestation (formerly WarZ), while the decision to create a new franchise was caused by a conflict with the current publisher. We begin with creating our own character and travel through a vast and open world, trying to survive against the hordes of the living dead. The game emphasizes the survival aspects. The players’ biggest concern is the limited supply of water, food, ammunition, and other useful items. The game offers nearly complete freedom of action – we can drive various vehicles and build shelters. The game is complemented by an arcade combat system and somewhat simplified crafting mechanics. Aftermath allows us to play in either PvE or PvP mode. In the latter, we have to face other players in addition to zombies.

During their interstellar journeys, their ship crash-lands on a nearby planet, which turns out to be Earth. The heroes and their friends (on some rare occasions you will also control Peabo and Lewanda) need to find replacement parts for their vessel in order to go home. Similarly to the first part of the game, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove presents the action from the isometric point of view. The mechanics consists of free exploration, fighting ridiculous enemies, and playing funny minigames. During the game, the heroes come across mysterious presents which can either help or harm – the only way to find out is to open them. Co-op is surely an asset – each adventure can be played solo or with up to three other players. It soon turns out that the only piece of software able to stop him is the game’s protagonist – a small white man, known as The Chosen One. Equipped only with his Magic Hat he sets out on a journey across various regions in order to put an end to the tyrant’s rule. The classic platforming gameplay is enriched by the aforementioned hat – the hero can drop it wherever he wants and then teleport himself to the hat’s location. This mechanic allows him to reach inaccessible places and solve many puzzles. Although A Pixel Story does not feature any opponents to battle, each level is filled with various traps and death can come at any time. Another interesting innovation is the artwork. You start the adventure in a pixellated 8-bit reality, but as you progress the world becomes more and more detailed.

RPG, Crossover, jRPG, Manga and Anime, Singleplayer, Turn-based, Nintendo Exclusive.
It is the second installment in a jRPG series - Project X Zone, published in 2012, in which players lead a team of characters from several popular franchises created by SEGA, Capcom, and Namco Bandai, including Resident Evil, Tekken, Megaman X, Devil May Cry, and Sakura Wars. The story features a fictional world combining token locations and buildings from the aforementioned games. Furthermore, players have a few hundreds unique characters at their disposal, ready to be added to the team. The gameplay is divided into two segments – the first one is presented in an isometric view and involves world exploration aimed at searching for suitable items and characters, it employs a turn-based system and each move on the world map requires a particular number of action points. When facing an opponent, however, the player is taken to a battlefield to control two characters and summon a third one to perform a special attack.
