The eighth and the last major expansion for The Sims 2, a humorous life simulation game by Electronic Arts. The Sims 2: Apartment Life lets virtual characters move into a luxurious apartment in a skyscraper or a cozy flat in a block. The new living format translates into more frequent interaction with neighbors who can be visited and invited over. The other challenge is to get along with AI-controlled flatmates — relationships with them are largely dependent on the player character’s behavior. The Sims 2: Apartment Life also lets us visit various places in town and a park where we can see breakdancers boasting their skills or watch over children playing in the playground. Traditionally, the add-on introduces a myriad of new elements of furnishing and social interaction. Another interesting feature is magic — Sims can become good or bad wizards and master the arcane arts.

You start the game by creating a hero belonging to one of the four factions: Haven, Inferno, Necropolis and Academy. The gameplay is divided into seasons, and during each of them your task is to gather 13 artifacts known as the Tears of Asha. You start out with one town, and you have to manage its development and gather a strong army, which will allow you to conquer other towns and use other factions' heroes and units. The game features story-based missions, in which you complete quests and battle enemies, but the gameplay focuses on the multiplayer mode. The gameplay is turn-based; the turns are played at the same time by all the players involved, and an important aspect of the game is creating guilds and cooperation or rivalry between the participants.

A strategy game strongly inspired by Dungeon Keeper, the cult classic from the nineties. Dungeons takes place in a fantasy world, but this time the roles are reversed and the player assumes the role of the bad guy who hunts a group of heroes. The protagonist is an evil lord who due to the conspiracy of his former fiancée becomes degraded. He must rebuild his position as the powerful dungeon keeper and in order to do so, he must complete a series of missions during which he builds more and more complicated labyrinths which serve as traps for famous heroes. The player commands a group of obedient goblins who build and arrange the dungeons whenever ordered. Inside the dungeons one can place various traps, false treasures, magic books and dangerous monsters. Once the labyrinth is ready, it passes the final test – heroes of dozens of classes are lured there. Dungeons offer three-dimensional environment and free camera which allows orientation in the surrounding area.
