Another installment of the popular strategy game series by Team 17 focusing on warring worms. Contrary to several of its three-dimensional predecessors, Worms: Revolution Extreme offers classical gameplay with action depicted from the side as teams of aggressive worms take their turns in attempt to eradicate the enemy team. The developers provided a rich arsenal of weapons, including firearms, rocket and grenade launchers, the iconic holy hand grenade, and the Super Sheep. These are joined by other tools such as a rope, a parachute, or a blowtorch. Worms: Revolution Extreme introduces new ways of eliminating enemies, such as telekinesis, water pistol, and Boggy-B. What’s more, we can also manipulate and destroy objects in the environment. For the first time in the history of the series, worms have been divided into classes, for instance: scientist, soldier, guard, and scout. Worms: Revolution is powered by a new graphics engine that generates pretty three-dimensional landscapes.

The fifth installment in the famous RPG franchise from New World Computing and a direct sequel to the fourth installment, which was released a year earlier. Plot-wise, Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen is the final chapter in the story of two vicious enemies: Sheltem and Corak. Having defeated the demonic Lord Xeen, the player's party follows prince Roland on the dark side of the planet, the place where the final battle of the guardians is to take place. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, the fifth installment doesn't introduce any novelties, relying instead on proven solutions of its predecessors. Due to the plot continuity with the fourth part, the game offers the option to import the characters used by the player in Might and Magic IV. As a homage to the fans of the series, both titles can be combined into a single game, enabling the player to explore lands and quests unavailable in each of the games separately.

A special installment in the bestselling RPG series, Might and Magic, which combines the fourth and the fifth one together. The action of Might and Magic: World of Xeen takes place in an open world divided into two parts, reigned by a man named Alander. The villain has imprisoned prince Roland and queen Kalindra and bribed the local monsters, after which he sent his general, known as Lord Xeen, to the light side of the planet who then kidnapped its governor and took over the sky castle. After the defeat of the demonic ruler, it turns out that the said Alamar is the Guardian Sheltem himself whom we have pursued from the very beginning of the saga. The most important bonus of the compilation are the additional quests and locations that are unavailable in either game separately. Releasing both titles on a single CD allowed the developers to enrich their content with high-quality digitalized dialogues.

A sequel to the well-received RPG by New World Computing, considered one of the milestones in the genre’s development. The action of Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World takes place directly after the events of its predecessor. When it turns out that the vile Shaltem escaped to the world of Cron thanks to a mysterious portal, a party of heroes has to follow him and stop him once more. They will be helped by his greatest enemy — Corak, whom we know from the original Might & Magic. The action is presented from the first-person perspective and takes place both in an open world as well as in cities and narrow dungeons. Yet again, we control a party of six adventurers—although this time we have two additional slots for party members and can also import heroes from the original game. The production is enriched with two new professions, innovative class-specific quests, new skills and spells as well as enhanced graphics.

The 20th expansion for the MMORPG EverQuest by Daybreak Game Company, released almost in time for the franchise's 15th anniversary. The plot is connected to the events from the second installment in the series — the story begins in North Karana, which was visited by the mysterious Lady Lindenaria, The dragoness' appearance is the direct reason for the creation of an interdimensional rift, which threatens the land of Ethernere. You have to confront the beast and see what is her attitude towards the locals. EverQuest: Call of the Forsaken features a range of new locations, e.g. Dead Hills or Neriak 4th Gate, as well as new pieces of equipment, such as armor and weapons designed by the gaming community. Apart from that, the expansion introduces mysterious artifacts, which can be of use in the confrontation with Lindenaria. The last novelty is the Heroic Adventures system, which makes sure that the items and enemies found in locations are appropriate for your level — thanks to it, when visiting one location several times, you may end up finding different loot.

The player assumes the role of a general who comes back from a retirement when an intergalactic conflict begins. The game takes place near the so-called Sun Gate, an installation which enables people to quickly travel between planetary systems. The gameplay focuses on building bases, gathering resources, constructing fleets, researching technologies, participating in diplomacy and conquering. Like in the cult classic Homeworld, in Void Destroyer the player participates in fully three-dimensional space battles. The player can participate in battles as a general who leads their units in a strategic manner or he can take control of a single ship and fight directly. The game features an active pause that can be activated at any point of the fight in order to give orders to units by using a tactical view.

Each category is additionally divided into ten classes, like for example light and heavy infantry, cavalry, or archers. Although the key to victory lies in building a varied army that will prove to be effective in various circumstances, setting proper research priorities and taking care of economical aspects is important as well. The title uses a modified engine of Panzer General. Contrary to the previous entries in the series, in this game the squads consist of no more than fifteen soldiers.
