An action game with RPG and CCG elements set in a fantasy world, developed by Thing Trunk, an independent Polish studio. Return 2 Games: Book of Demons is the first production from a planned series that is intended to pay homage to the best titles of the last decade of the 20th century. The production’s plot is another variation of the fight between good and evil and a chosen one who saves the world from annihilation. It is a quite clear pastiche of the cult classic Diablo and its clones. In the game, we assume the role of a hero who belongs to one of three different classes, and our main task is to combat hordes of demons. During breaks between subsequent quests, we can go to the city, talk to non-player characters, and trade equipment. The gameplay is complemented by the possibility of acquiring and collecting cards that represent various skills of our character. The game features a curious visuals style thanks to which the game world looks as if it’s created from cut-outs.

The third installment in the Fear Effect series of action games. Both the previous installments were released for the PlayStation console. The game was created by Kronos Digital Entertainment, under the auspices of Square Enix - the owner of the franchise. Contrary to its predecessors, Fear Effect Sedna is a tactical action game played from an isometric view and inspired by Shadowrun Returns - a role-playing game. The action takes place in a cyberpunk world featuring fantasy elements. This time, the characters from the previous installments explore mysterious locations and underground facilities of the frosty Greenland. During the story campaign, the player commands a team comprising up to five mercenaries, each having their own unique skills and specializations. The game offers a real-time combat system, but thanks to the implementation of active pause, the player is allowed to take their time when giving orders to individual units. Occasionally, the player is also obliged to solve puzzles. The third installment in the Fear Effect series offers old-school, cel-shaded graphics as usual.

A hack-and-slash role-playing game set in a world inspired by Norse myths, developed by Games Farm and Kalypso Media. The protagonist is Ulfung, a Viking clan chieftain, whose village is completely destroyed, while he becomes the leader of the surviving warriors in their quest to try to save Midgard from Ragnarok. Mechanics-wise, the game is clearly inspired by the popular Diablo series. At the start, you choose your warrior's gender and class, and then explore a range of locations and eliminate hordes of enemies. Apart from the more mundane weapons such as war hammers, axes, swords and bows, you can also use special items and amulets, which affect your character's abilities. Vikings: Wolves of Midgard features an interesting character development system, the option of rebuilding your village step by step, and an apocalyptic winter you have to seek shelter from, e.g. by looking for any heat sources.

Developed by the thatgamecompany studio, Journey is a remarkably unique exploration game, in which we embark on a journey through the desert sands. Our goal is to reach the summit of a great mountain, constantly visible on the horizon. A distinctive feature of Journey is the fact that we do not get a lot of exposure - the production lacks a classic narrative and does not have any dialogues; the nature of our protagonist and of the world we are in, which once harbored a mighty civilization, is all but unknown to us, a mystery, the true nature of which we can only speculate. The game consists of semi-open levels, which contain various puzzles and hidden locations. After passing through each of them we arrive at the next stage and the accompanying cut-scenes allow us to gradually discover and interpret the subsequent fragments of the plot. Journey also has one very intriguing curio - while playing the online mode we can encounter other players and at any time start playing in the co-op mode - but we still have to make do without verbal communication. All of the above is distinguished by an unusual, melancholic atmosphere and very artistic visuals, with focus on a minimalistic but incisive graphic style.

This time, Garrett's quest is to stop a long-prophesied advent of an era of darkness, which requires him to steal valuable treasures and artifacts from different parts of the city. But things take an unexpected turn when Garrett inadvertently awakens the ancient evil, and becomes considered a traitor by the members of his guild. In terms of game mechanics, the title does not differ significantly from its predecessors, and every mission in the game can be completed in several different ways. The main difference is the new graphic engine and body awareness mechanism through which we have much more control over the hero's actions.

The characters set out for a journey, searching for a mysterious artifact known as Mirror of Smoke, which is to be used against the evil Xolotl, who has gained the power to control other spirits. Contrary to the third-person perspective the Tomb Raider games are usually played in, the spin-off is an isometric game resembling hack'n'slash titles in this aspect. The gameplay focuses on arcade elements and combat sequences, in which the player encounters hordes of ghosts - a special emphasis was placed on cooperation. The two characters have different abilities, therefore, close cooperation is the key to success. However, it is also worth mentioning that the game features elements which could be considered hallmarks of the Tomb Raider series as well, such as exploration of tombs and catacombs.

A role-playing game developed by BioWare (the creators of Baldur's Gate), based on the third edition of the Dungeons & Dragons system. The plot takes place in the fictional world of the Forgotten Realms and is centered on a mysterious plague sweeping the eponymous city of Neverwinter. The protagonist's task is to discover who is behind the illness and why did they start it. The story is divided into a prologue and four chapters, every one of them taking place in a different area (and you cannot return to a previously visited location). During the gameplay you do the respective missions, gather gold and items, level up your character, and, of course, fight enemies. The characters act in turns but the combat itself takes place in real time, though featuring active pause, and—like in D&D—the results of most actions are calculated based on dice throws. The game's strong point is the multiplayer mode, which features several types of gameplay, from simple duels to complex epics.

War RTS from authors of the excellent Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. The game focuses on the tactical side of the clashes and does not bother about the typical for this genre expansion of the base. The authors have prepared an extensive campaign for a single player, as well as a multiplayer mode, in which we can fight with other people, or join forces with them against SI.

Strategy, World War II, Internet, LAN, Multiplayer, RTS, Singleplayer.

A sequel to Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, a well-received real-time strategy game released in 2004. Faces of War was developed by Best Way, the creators of the game's predecessor, and the production doesn't differ much in terms of gameplay mechanics. Faces of War features campaigns (one for each country: US, United Kingdom, Soviet Union and Third Reich), each of them involving an array of varied tasks. You get a specific number of troops, which you can issue orders to. The new elements are the extra soldiers, weapons, and vehicles, as well as a more advanced AI — your soldiers do quite well on the battlefield, even when you're not directly controlling them. The visuals, interface, and sound have also been improved. Faces of War features a single player mode and a multiplayer mode for up to sixteen participants.

David Douillet Judo is, as the name suggests, a representative of a very rarely represented genre of games, i.e. sports simulation of Judo fights. This program was created thanks to the efforts of programmers from the Belgian branch of 10Tacle.
