A tactical RPG with turn-based combat set in the popular universe of Warhammer. The game is a debut project of the Canadian studio Rogue Factor, founded by veterans of the video game industry. The game is set 500 years before the Warhammer’s main story, in the titular Mordheim City. After being struck by a comet, the city becomes a fighting ground for numerous conflicting factions. As a leader of one of them, you explore vast districts of the metropolis, undertaking various story missions and fighting enemies. Turn-based battles take place on 3D arenas of different shapes and layouts. Interestingly, your soldiers can become crippled, e.g. lose limbs.

An adventure game with strong action and platform game traits. It was developed by Double Fine Productions. The player assumes the role of a boy named Razputin, Raz in short. His dream is to become a member of the titular Psychonauts, a squad that is maintaining peace in the world. After sneaking up into one of the training camps, the protagonist discovers that the cadets are mysteriously disappearing. Raz, accompanied by his loyal friends, tries to discover this mystery. In Psychonauts the action is presented by using a third-person perspective. The game features more than a dozen of varied levels – most of them take place inside the human minds. During the game Raz must face various enemies, solve some more or less complicated traps, and avoid many dangers. Luckily, the boy is able to jump, swim, climb and sneak. He also has access to a set of paranormal skills, including telekinesis, levitation and invisibility. The game features nice looking graphics. Similarly to previous games of this developer, the title is filled with humor.

The fourth installment in the humorous series of economic strategy games in which we assume the role of a ruthless dictator of a small banana republic. After the previous developer (responsible for the first installment from 2001) was taken over by THQ, the series was given to Haemimont Games. The main highlight of the gameplay is taking care of the country’s budget, which is fed by resource mining and production of various goods. The citizens’ happiness is also an important aspect. We take care of them through creating various public utility buildings. To get the political chaos under control, we can use military, bribes, intimidation, or even public executions. If brutal methods don’t serve their purpose anymore, we can attempt to talk with the opposition, and in case of a natural disaster, The Red Cross will heed our call. In the fourth installment of the game, we are introduced to a new set of special buildings and a system of trading with neighboring countries.

Players can chose from six trucks and sixteen types of cargo, the delivery of which yields some cash. The whole thing takes place in the United States of America – the American highways, to be more precise. The developers recreated thousands of miles of roads that stretch across eleven states, through cities, mountains and deserts.

Apart from the main storyline, the game features 18 side quests, nearly 30 kinds of monsters, and over 500 non-player characters. The seventh installment of the saga, created on the basis of its predecessor, offers a similar visual quality level as well as comparable gameplay mechanics and character development system. The number of available classes was increased, though, and the plot became multi-threaded, thus forcing the player to make choices that have an impact on the further course of the story.

The third installment in a popular series of turn-based strategy games set in a fantasy universe and developed by New World Computing. After the death of king Gryphonheart, Erathia was brought to its knees by the dark forces of Nighon and Eofol. Gryphonheart's daughter - Queen Catherine, the ruler of Enroth. returns to her homeland in order to unite her compatriots in the fight against the forces of evil. The game remains faithful to the gameplay formula of its predecessors, thus the player explores Erathia in search of mythical artifacts and treasures, as well as expands their towns. What is also an inherent part of the experience, is the necessity to recruit armies and fight turn-based battles against various kinds of enemies. Compared to the franchise's previous iterations, the game introduces new heroes, new kinds of towns, and 118 types of units having new abilities and 64 spells at their disposal; the spells were divided into 4 schools of magic. The in-game maps have become larger and more detailed. Also, graphics, animations and multiplayer variants were improved.
