First-person shooter with stealth elements developed by Rebellion (the creators of the Aliens vs. Predator video game series). Rogue Warrior is set in the middle of the Cold War. The player assumes the role of Richard Marcinko, a famous Navy SEALs veteran, voiced by Mickey Rourke, an actor known from Sin City. The protagonist is sent to North Korea with a secret mission. Due to the nature of his task, the hero should try his best to keep low profile and eliminate enemies quietly. Such kills are shown as brutal finishers. In situations when stealth tactics are no longer valid the game turns into a classic FPP shooter with a cover system similar to Gears of War. Missions are usually set in military compounds and factories, so there is a lot of close-quarter combat. The main game mode in Rogue Warrior is story-based single player campaign, which consists of a string of linear missions. Apart from that, the developers also prepared competitive multiplayer.

The gameplay itself remained the same as in previous games – we still get a turn-based strategy resembling the cult-classic Heroes of Might and Magic series. A brutal motorcycle racing game and a spiritual successor to the legendary Road Rash that debuted in 1991 on Sega Mega Drive. It was developed by DarkSeas Games, an American studio established by experienced developers. In the game, we assume the role of a criminal who has been recently released from prison and has to regain his former position in a motorcycle gang. Soon, he discovers that his old friends from the gang were responsible for him getting arrested and imprisoned. The player’s decisions and behavior will determine the course of the story and one of its several alternative endings. In the game, we will take part in a number of racing challenges including fighting other gangs and their bosses, robbing driving trucks, or escaping the police. During the races, we can eliminate our opponents with a wide range of weapons such as bats, machetes, chains, and even firearms and grenades. Apart from the single player campaign, the game also offers a full-fledged multiplayer mode.

First huge add-on to the tactical strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, released in 2012. Created by the developer team at Firaxis Games, the expansion introduces many new features to basic game. One of the most important among them is a new resource – meld, a type of microscopic, robotic organisms that can modify human genotype. This allows humans to improve their body and even integrate mechanical parts into themselves. The add-on introduces a new soldier class as well – Mec Trooper - along with a special building to “produce” him, two types of aliens (Seeker and Mechtoid) and a new human organization, EXALT, trying to use alien technology to conquer the world. There are also new types of weapons, skills, and maps for multiplayer matches.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a remastered version of Final Fantasy Type-0, a jRPG released in 2001 on PlayStation Portable exclusively in Japan. The HD version was released on PC and 8th generation consoles. The game takes place in the fantasy world Orience, which, after a period of peace, was once again divided by war. Story focuses on twelve adepts from a magic academy who were delegated to defend the country's borders. Being a part of a greater whole (Final Fantasy XIII), Type-0 HD has all the characteristic elements of the Final Fantasy series. Combat system used in the game combines the turn-based mechanics with solutions known from many action games. The game offers a vast world, filled with interesting NPCs and side quests to do. There are twelve characters for us to play as. Each of them has a different character, combat style, and special abilities. The biggest difference between the PSP and remastered versions are the visuals, now in high definition.
