The story campaign in Rambo: The Video Game consists of a series of missions inspired by movies First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III. The player can fight soulless law enforcers in Hope city, free the captives held in Vietnamese jungle and help the Afghan guerillas. The base of the game are dynamical sequences during which the player must eliminate opponents by guiding a crosshair on them and pulling the trigger. The developers created various weapons which the title character can use. They also used original dialogues from the movies.

As usual, Batman has a wide variety of characteristic gadgets at his disposal. The game also offers detective and predator modes, known from the previous installments in the series.

Another entry in the complex simulation game series, in which players take on the role of a train driver. Once again, the game was developed by Dovetail Games studio, who has also given us a tutorial that introduces us to basics of gameplay. There is also a career mode, in which we must complete dozens of varied missions. Quite obviously, we drive many different trains: from modern inventions to machines from the age of steam. The rich selection of tracks contains both real-life and fictional routes. Additionally, the editor returns in RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012, allowing for creation of custom routes – not only with various length and shape, but also through different types of terrain and with various surrounding objects. Finally, we can design trains and even whole scenarios, all of which can be shared with the game’s community.

An MMO shooter game played from the first-person view and developed by a studio belonging to Sony Online Entertainment. The game debuted on PCs, but eventually it was also released for PlayStation 4. The game is set on the planet Auraxis, where colonists from Earth are fighting for territory, power, and resources. The players reinforce the ranks of one of the three factions (Terran Republic, New Conglomerate, Vanu Sovereignty). The action takes place on huge maps where thousands of players can meet - each map is filled with bases, outposts, and other places of strategic importance. The size of the battlefield made it necessary to simplify movement. As a result, the players make use of teleports, vehicles, as well as a system of spawning automatically in places where the action is. As the player progresses, their character develops within the character class chosen earlier (each of those serves a purpose and can do their share for the faction not only through eliminating the enemies). PlanetSide 2 utilizes mechanics borrowed from modern-day FPS games. For instance, health partially regenerates in an automatic manner. The experience is complemented by high-quality visuals.

A mobile role-playing game heavily-inspired by the Pokemon series. The game is set in a fantasy land, combining modern reality with science-fiction elements. You play as a trainer, whose task is to catch the eponymous creatures, develop their abilities, and use them to battle other trainers. In Nexomon, you traverse a world divided into 10 regions, visit shops, talk to NPCs, and complete a variety of quests. Like in the Pokemon series, an important factor is catching the defeated creatures, which join your collection. The battles are turn-based, and in combat you mostly choose the right attacks against the opponents and activate various special items. Apart from the multiplayer mode, the game also features a story campaign with many side quests.

This is the debut production from Axolot Games. The game itself is a multiplayer-focused sandbox mechanic simulator featuring elements of survival. The player takes control of a mechanic sent to a fully automatized agricultural planet to fix and maintain the machines working there. As it soon turns out, the robots inhabiting the planet went insane and the protagonist's task is to make a good use of his knowledge of machines in order to survive the attacks of mechanical enemies. Scrap Mechanic offers two completely different game modes: survival and creative mode. The latter offers pure entertainment and allows us to build machines without having to bother ourselves with threats. The survival mode resembles games such as Rust or Hurtworld, focusing on exploration, resources gathering, building different machines for various purposes, fighting, and cooperating with other players.

The unique atmosphere of the game is enhanced by beautiful, hand-drawn backgrounds.

They are known for multiplayer-oriented games such as War of the Roses and War of the Viking. As a result, the players received a third-person perspective action-adventure game, the story of which takes place in between the first and the second part of the series and connects them together. The main hero – Cliff Calo – decides to trace the origins of the zombie virus outbreak and document them. Together with his friends, Cliff sets out on an expedition that soon turns out to be nothing more than a constant fight for survival, as any contact with the living dead ends up in death. You can use a wide arsenal of inventive weapons, but the gameplay emphasizes stealth elements and silent elimination of the enemies. The game features distinctive colorful graphics that utilize cel-shading technology.

A multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Blizzard and the first production of this genre in the portfolio of the creators of cult series such as Diablo, Warcraft, and Starcraft. The game is set in a future where peace is ensured by the eponymous organization, established decades ago for protection against attacks by renegade robots. When it starts to crumble, torn apart by internal conflicts, its responsibilities are taken over by completely new characters whose roles are assumed by the players. The game focuses on multiplayer team duels which reward performing certain tasks instead of eliminating other characters. A wide array of heroes with different abilities is involved in the combat and, depending on the situation, we can switch our hero several times during one fight. The game does not offer any development of characters' skills and equipment, instead the key to victory are the skills of the players and good teamwork.

A tower defense game requiring the player to defend a position against attacking fantasy creatures. The game was created by Ironhide - an independent developer. Kingdom Rush is set in a classic fantasy world filled with magic, orcs, knights and giants. The player's goal is to prevent the enemies from reaching the other side of the map. The attackers come in waves and each one is more powerful than the previous. When planning further actions, the player has to build defensive structures on the path of the enemy, including towers for archers, artillery posts and barracks generating soldiers who fight the attackers directly. Elimination of enemies generates income, which can be spent on expanding the line of defense through the addition of new buildings or upgrade of the existing ones. When the situation gets worse, the player can also cast powerful offensive spells capable of stopping or even destroying entire groups of enemies. Completing a level earns the player golden stars, allowing them to upgrade their units or make spells more effective. Kingdom Rush stands out with its eye-pleasing, colorful and detailed visuals.

During the game the player is traveling through caves, avoiding traps, fighting enemies, collecting minerals and making sure to always have access to light. The protagonist can use various useful tools that enable him to decide in which direction should the tunnel be dug. After filling the backpack we return to the surface and trade the minerals we've found for various goods and upgrades for the protagonist.

For their efforts, the players earn experience points, for which they can acquire new team members. The game takes place across randomly generated worlds, each one featuring different conditions. The Dwarves use a wide range of weapons and armors, which the players can create themselves using a relatively simple crafting system. The game delivers high resolution and 2D old-school visuals, somewhat resembling the aforementioned Terraria.

A modern remake of the legendary dungeon crawler game, originally released in 1985. The game was the base for several better or worse productions and had multiple sequels for almost all platforms. The new Gauntlet was developed by Arrowhead, known for the Magicka series. Mechanics-wise, the game is a classic top-down arcade production with role-playing elements. You play as heroes traversing expansive dungeons, which are inhabited by monsters and ghosts. You can choose one of the four character classes: Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard, each of them having their unique combat system and special abilities. A real-time strategy and a spiritual successor to Act of War, a game released in 2005. The game was created by a French developer Eugen Systems, also known for titles like R.U.S.E. and the Wargame franchise. The story is set in the near future, where the player commands a special, top secret task force created by the UN in order to quietly deal with potential threats to the world peace. The gameplay mechanics feature typical RTS premises: before invading an enemy territory you have to expand your base and recruit an army, while keeping a steady flow of resources. Since the game is set in the future, it features lots of futuristic military equipment, including ground and aerial vehicles. Apart from the extensive single player campaign, the game features multiplayer options as well.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar focuses on the plot and the exploration of the expansive randomly-generated dungeons. The game also features many jRPG-style battles, taking place in turns on two separate screens. The visuals are colorful and detailed, which makes them resemble the original comics.
