The first story-based expansion for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - an action RPG created in cooperation between 38 Studios and Big Huge Games. The DLC introduces new storylines connected to a mysterious island located off the coast of the Gallows End continent. On the island, the player character faces dark magic and new, powerful enemies. Once the player completes the main storyline, they are allowed to explore the new areas freely and complete an entire set of side quests given by NPCs. The expansion remains faithful to the basic mechanics of the core game, though several new features were introduced as well. The Legend of Dead Kel brings mainly a new kind of dungeon, three new Twists of Fate cards, 8 new armors, 8 new shields and 18 powerful, previously unavailable weapons. The biggest feature of the DLC however, is the Gravehal Keep system, which allows the players to construct and expand their own estate.

An original exploration adventure drama with first-person perspective. Gone Home is set in the United States of 1990s. You play as a young woman named Katy, who returns home after spending a year away in Europe. When she gets home, instead of her family she is welcomed by an empty house. In order to find out where have her close ones gone to Katy explores the house in search of notes, documents, recordings and other traces that reveal the game’s story step by step. Despite the relatively low tempo of gameplay and complete lack of supernatural events, Gone Home effectively creates and keeps an atmosphere of anxiety and motivates the player to keep searching for more and more clues. Because of its low budget, the developer decided to base the game on the popular Unity Engine, therefore it offers decent 3D graphics at low system requirements.

Another installment in the popular Japanese RPG series developed by Nihon Falcom Corp. Once again, the players get to travel to the land of Zemuria, more exactly to the territory known as Erebonia, where the Thors Military Academy is located. The school is attended by children of both gentry and common citizens – the exception being the 7th grade comprising only the main protagonists of the game. The action of the game is set during one school year, in which the students increase their skills, acquire military experience, and overcome the differences that divide them. The background of the story is filled with ever-growing tensions in the society that might result in an outbreak of a civil war. The plot of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel features a non-linear structure and is shaped by the decisions made by the players. In comparison to the previous installments in the series, this game stands out with its multiple improvements, the most prominent being the TPP perspective, which has replaced the typical for the series top down perspective. Additionally, the game features more dialogues and a modified combat system. Once again, battles are turn-based, however, they are more dynamic because of the combo system enabling players to mount spectacular and powerful attack sequences. Moreover, the choices a player makes throughout the game affect the combat efficiency of particular characters.

The Illumination system is a new gameplay feature that allows the players to create safe areas where the playable characters can heal themselves and deal more damage to the enemies. The game's story is inspired by true events that took place in 1959 at the Dyatlov Pass in the Ural mountains, where the dead bodies of nine Russian hikers were found, and the cause of their death remained unclear. We only know that most of them died of hypothermia, and evidence indicates that they were forced to flee from an unknown danger. In the game we explore an open, icebound world, having only a map and a compass at our disposal. On our way to reach the goal, we have to deal with many dangers lurking in the mountains. There is no combat, and the only way to survive is by escaping. A special system called "fear manager" has been developed for the game. All the puzzles in the game build on an interesting mechanic – since a puzzle solution is a mystery, no one knows which button on the controller to press at a given moment. These puzzles are based on player’s intuition and perceptivity, as well as the ability to manipulate the elements of the environment. The pattern of subsequent solutions reflects the process of the player familiarizing themselves with the construction of subsequent devices, which changes with each new puzzle. Fighting, 2D, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Platformers, Splitscreen, Singleplayer, Free-to-play.

A free-to-play two-dimensional platform fighting game from the independent studio Blue Mammoth Games – the creators of a browser MMO game Dungeon Blitz. The production combines elements of 2D fighting games and platformers. Gameplay comes down to engaging in combat on multi-level maps. The fighting system is purely arcade, so what really matters is speed, strength, mastery of combos, and the skillful use of individual abilities of particular characters. The game features dozens of fighters from different epochs and genres – knights, pirates, and even aliens. Each character has a different story and fighting style. Brawhalla features both a single player campaign and multiplayer for up to 8 players. Even though the game utilizes old-school 2D graphics, backgrounds and characters are displayed in high definition.

Racing, Very Brutal, Crowdfunding, Indie Games, Internet, Multiplayer, Cars, Singleplayer.

Another installment in the brutal and controversial racing game series which dates back to 1997. The things that count in Carmageddon include not only your score, but also the damage you inflicted, and the number of pedestrians you ran over. It was developed by Stainless Games, the creators of all the previous titles in the franchise as well as a number of productions from the Magic: The Gathering franchise. The gameplay mechanics of Carmageddon: Max Damage do not deviate significantly from the solutions employed by its predecessors; we participate in a murderous racing tournament in which we fight for victory as well as survival. The gameplay is purely arcade. We are given a wide selection of maps and vehicles as well as more than 90 various power-ups that can be found on the racing arenas. The game offers several single player and multiplayer modes with different victory conditions.

RPG, Fantasy, Hack'and'slash, Card Games, Board & Card, Roguelike, Action RPG, Singleplayer, TPP.

A new installment of an unusual RPG from Defiant Development, enriched with board and card game elements. Similarly to its predecessor, the player is tasked with taking on the challenges created using cards rolled by a magical enemy, called The Dealer. Thanks to the efforts of the previous protagonist, he was defeated, but the hero was0 corrupted by his own power, and became a bloodthirsty tyrant. The Dealer returns to train a new hero, capable of facing his predecessor. The overall idea for the gameplay had remains unchanged, but a number of new elements have been introduced. Hand of Fate 2 introduces an additional plane to the game map, instigating more situations with potential encounters – that part of the game received additional requirements such as time-oriented objectives. Aside from that, our hero doesn’t have to be alone anymore – we received an ability to recruit comrades, and create a party.

Strategy, Economic, Space, Remaster/remake, RTS, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.

This is the second (after Space Colony HD) attempt to refresh a classic economic space strategy game, which was created by Firefly and released in 2003. This new edition was created with support from the Steam digital distribution platform. The game is set in a distant future and the player's goal here is to establish an efficiently working network of space colonies, on behalf of Blackwater Industries. The mechanics present combined elements of strategies and simulation games, such as The Sims. The player gathers resources and erects subsequent buildings for military and recreational purposes. Simultaneously however, the player has to take care of security-related issues, as well as to make sure that the workers are happy enough at their workplace - this can be difficult, as each of the workers has a different personality and individual preferences. Apart from the enhanced, HD graphics, this edition brought completely new contents, which resulted in the single-player campaign now having more than 80 missions. The creators provided the game's full support of the Steam platform (Steam Workshop for instance).

A mobile football manager and a spin-off of the famed Pro Evolution Soccer series developed by Konami. In contrast with the poorly-received 2014 edition, which was an attempt to compete with FIFA Ultimate Team, this time we are looking at a serious sports manager which offers more than 5000 licensed players from Europe and South America. In contrast to other football managers, PES Club Manager keeps to the football side of the sport – our duties include picking a team, tactics, and training schedule, as well as transfers. We are also responsible for the development of the club’s infrastructure: building stadium improvements, club center, offices, youngling schools, scouting agency, fan-club headquarters, medical center, or training fields. When it comes to graphics, the game employs a three-dimensional match engine, known from previous major installments of the series.

An action adventure game, developed by Protocol Games studio, belonging to the survival horror genre. The main protagonist of Song of Horror is a man named Daniel Noyer, and during the game we try to unravel the mystery of the evil force that torments him. However, we control Noyer himself only occasionally, playing instead as sixteen different characters, each of them possessing unique skills and biographies, that are somehow connected with the main hero. The plot of the game is divided into sixteen chapters in which we deal mainly with exploration and puzzles. The game doesn't feature a traditional combat system, but during its course we face many arcade challenges, including escapes or hiding from threats. The production does not offer a manual save option, forcing the players to deal with the consequences of their actions. Fortunately, death of one of the characters does not mean the end of the game; we simply take control of another person.

The story of Diluvion takes place in the distant future, where an apocalyptic flood has forced humanity to colonize the ocean depths. The gameplay is focused around exploration of a marine world of a considerable size, completing various tasks, and combat with encountered opponents. Our travels often require the use of a sonar, which helps in navigating dark areas, as well as ranged weapons in the form of torpedoes or even cannons. We’ve also received access to a crew management module – throughout our journeys, the individual crew members gather experience, acquiring new skills over time. For example, an experienced coxswain offers better maneuverability, while a talented cannoneer is much more accurate.
