Simulation games. These titles put emphasis on simulating authentic (or fictional) actions in the most realistic manner possible. They allow the player e.g. to control civil (digger, crane, bus) or military vehicles (plane, tank, warship). Life simulation games (especially The Sims series) are very specific example of titles in this category, because they can simulate almost infinite number of aspects of human lives.

Flight Sim World

A flight simulation game from the developers of such titles as Euro Fishing and Train Simulator 2017. Like in other games from Dovetail Games studio, Flight Sim World tries to simulate real life as closely as possible. In addition to advanced physics the developers took care of details that make each vehicle different in how they are handled; another thing that influences it are changing weather conditions.

Interkosmos is a VR simulation game and the first game developed by Ovid Works, a studio made of developers who previously worked for Flying Wild Hog, CD Projekt RED, and CreativeForge Games. The game takes place in 1970's, during the Cold War and Space Race times. We play as an astronaut who travels back to Earth in a experimental Zevzda pod. Our job is to get back home safely with the help from NASA and Roscosmos operators.

You start playing in a particular place of a procedurally generated world, but the rest is completely up to you – you are free to take control of a single atom, animal, or object, and focus on its immediate whereabouts, or control an entire planet, star or even galaxy.

Stationeers is a simulator set on a space station with certain elements typical for survival games. The game has been developed by a small team called RocketWerkz, comprising sixteen people led by Dean Hall - the creator of the original DayZ. In the game, the player assumes the role of a space station manager tasked with constructing and attaching new modules to the station, as well as overseeing the life support systems (e.g. food production and producing a breathable atmosphere).

The production gives you a chance to take control over three ships – a container ship, a deepwater construction vessel, and a semi-submarine transport vessel. The action takes place on waters of Baltic Sea where you will carry out rescue missions, retrieve objects sunken in the depths of the sea, mount installations, and take transport cruises.

A very ambitious independent game developed by Q Switched Productions. The title combines traits of a space simulator with a strategy game. In Children of a Dead Earth the player assumes the role of an admiral who commands a space fleet. During the series of missions he can see as the Solar System plunges into a civil war. The gameplay is based on two main pillars: constructing space ships and participating in planetary conquests.

A free-to-play MMO game following the convention set by such titles as World of Tanks and World of Warships. Russian studio Areo Gaming decided to translate this arcade-simulation gameplay model into the world of battles fought by small marine units – fast patrol boats, torpedo boats, and small submarines. The players can unlock over 40 models of ships, armed with a diverse arsenal – starting from machine guns and cannons all the way to rocket launchers and depth charges.

An advanced railway simulator developed by Dovetail Games, a developer known from the popular Train Simulator series. Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul follows in the same vein, yet is treated as a separate project based on new technology. Unfortunately, this means that the title is not compatible with numerous add-ons released for the Train Simulator series. As always, the gameplay involves controlling various railway engines and traversing numerous railways found all around the world.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Kuban

Another installment in the popular series of flight simulators set during the World War II period, developed by 1C Company in collaboration with 777 Studios. Il-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Kuban takes the players to the Eastern Front of the World War II, giving them a chance to participate in the eponymous Battle of Kuban. The game is played over an area of 300 by 400 kilometers. During aerial battles you can pilot such machines as Bf-109 G-4, Yak-7b, IL-2 mod.43 UBT or Spitfire Mk.VB.

Giant Machines 2017 stands out from the other simulators with the presence of a Story Mode, the final objective of which is to send a shuttle to the International Space Station. Birthdays the Beginning casts the player in the role of a creator of worlds, whose goal is to create a planet, along with a breathing ecosystem rich in life.

Stable Orbit is a debut project of the one-man studio Codalyn that was founded by Jim Offerman. The developer previously worked as the main designer of PC versions of such hits like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Production was developed by Icelandic Sólfar Studios collaborating with RVX team, responsible for special effects in the Baltasar Kormáruk movie, Everest. Project was supported financially by many Scandinavian institutions.
Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You

A strategy-simulation game developed by German studio Osmotic Studios. The title references the Orwellian theme of Big Brother and the internet surveillance of the modern society in face of global terrorism. The titular Orwell is the name of a computer system that tracks the citizens and finds people suspected of criminal activity.
