Another entry in the arcade fighting game series based on popular manga by Masashi Kishimoto. It has been developed by CyberConnect 2 studio, which has been developing the franchise since its creation. The title expands on foundations of 2013’s third game in the series, focusing on dynamic battles, which – thanks to the heroes’ unique abilities – take place both on land and in the air. The developers prepared over 100 characters known from the Naruto Shippuden universe, including a completely new fighter created exclusively for the game by Masashi Kishimoto. New features include additional attacks and ways to combine them in more advanced techniques. As far as audiovisuals go, the title retains traditional colorful graphics stylized on original manga.

The third full-fledged installment in a series of popular fighting games developed by Cyberconnect 2 and focusing on the adventures of a bright-haired ninja warrior by the name of Naruto. Once again, the game was based on two main modes - classic 1 on 1 battles taking place on wide 3D arenas, and the story mode which allows the player to explore this popular universe freely and take part in the greatest battles depicted first in the original manga series (until the Nine-Tails invades the Hidden Leaf Village). As usual, the game includes most of the characters the fans of the series are familiar with. Each of the in-game fighters has their own unique fighting style and a set of spectacular special abilities. All of this is complemented by (what is typical for this franchise) cel-shaded graphics that successfully recreate the art style of Japanese animation. As a result, the visual impressions resemble watching another episode of one's favorite anime series.

A tactical real-time strategy game inspired by the Commandos series. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is set in Japan in 1615. The new shogun decided to enforce peace in the entire country which requires him to silently eliminate all the opposition that may dream of rebelling against him. To achieve this, he asks a group of five specialists who deal in murder, sabotage, and espionage. It is the team that the player will lead in the course of the campaign that consists of over a dozen extensive missions. In Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, the action is presented from a camera placed high above the characters’ heads which provides us with a good grasp of the environment and lets us efficiently issue orders to our agents. Since they perform risky tasks on enemy territory, it is necessary to stay out of guards’ sight and act stealthily. Maps were designed in a way that allows for any mission to be completed in various ways. To succeed, the player always has to cunningly use the unique skills of every character and devise plans that involve strict cooperation within the party.

The fourth major installment in a popular fighting game series set in the famous ninja universe of Naruto. This game series has been developed since 2008 by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Storywise, the game is a direct sequel to the previous installments in the series, focusing on the latest chapters of the manga. In the story mode you explore the game’s world, meet the characters from the anime and manga and take part in spectacular duels focusing on unique special abilities of each hero. The other game mode is the fighting mode, in which you participate in duels on dedicated arenas. For the first time in the series, the game features QTE in some of the attacks. Moreover, lots of changes were introduced when it comes to combat mechanics and damage system. As this is the first game in the series to be released on the eight generation consoles, the visuals have seen a significant upgrade. Created with cel-shading technique, the artwork closely resembles the anime.

The third installment of the series of fighting games Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm that is based on the popular manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. During the game the player can assume the roles of their favorite characters from the Naruto universe (including Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kabuto Yakushi) and participate in spectacular fights against rivals controlled by artificial intelligence or other players. The visuals of Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 were developed using the cel-shading technology. Thanks to that the game looks similarly to its animated archetype. A third-person perspective action game focused on online fights created by Soleil, a Japanese studio directed by Katsunori Ehara. The game takes place in the universe known from the manga series Naruto and its animated adaptation. The players control ninja warriors, that have superhuman abilities, and participate in battles of small teams. The main core of the game are fights of two teams, with up to four players each, on enclosed arenas – each of the characters available in the game has unique abilities and equipment. The combat and movement system is worth mentioning – the characters can perform various acrobatics and run on all surfaces; because of that each one of the arenas have complicated vertical constructions and objects that give players a lot of possibilities for moving and performing attacks. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker also has good graphics that effectively imitatee the comic book and animation on which the game is based on.

Similar to the previous installments, spectacular duels filled with explosions are at the core of the experience, as each of the in-game ninjas has powerful special abilities at their disposal. The player can take part in countless battles, choosing from among over 40 characters included - the fans of the Naruto Shippuden series are definitely familiar with those, but the game features one fighter from Tekken 6 as well. Apart from the duel mode typical for this genre, the player will also find an extensive story mode that focuses on adventures of Naruto and Sasuke - one can go through the most important encounters from the original anime series in this mode. Like in the previous installments, the gameplay focuses on one-on-one (or rather three-on-three) battles, and you can choose from a variety of familiar characters, possessing different fighting styles and special abilities, and from a range of large arenas. Before each fight, you pick a team of three warriors: the leader that you control directly and to AI-controlled companions, which allows you to perform spectacular combo attacks. Unlike its predecessors, Ultimate Ninja Storm features slightly altered mechanics: the characters can move all over the arena, and the camera adapts to their position. Apart from the more classic battles, the game also features a story mode, which consists of over 100 missions based on the anime series.

A representative of the third-person stealth game genre, created by the independent studio of Lince Works. The main character of the production is the titular Aragami - an assassin who has risen from the dead and has been endowed with supernatural abilities. The mysterious Yamiko is responsible for his resurrection and she desperately needs his aid to escape from the closely guarded fortress. Gameplay mechanics revolve around the characteristic patterns of similar productions, such as Tenchu or Dishonored. Zones visited during the various missions have an open-world character, which, combined with an extensive range of skills, allows the hero to perform tasks in many different ways. In Aragami we have to sneak in the shadows, teleport to selected locations, dispose of the bodies of murdered opponents, and even create clones of the protagonist. However, the hero clearly wasn't meant for direct confrontations and a group of opponents are able to take his life without much of a problem. The cartoonish visuals, which draw inspiration from the East Asian culture, are also a very distinctive feature.

A metroidvania game from Capcom's popular series. The game, developed by Double Helix Games, is set in a grim future where Earth is ruled by a cruel dictator – Grandmaster Meio. As Hiryu, a young warrior who achieved "Super A" rank as the youngest member of the titular organization, we must put an end to Meio's rule and kill him. Even though Strider is implemented in fully 3D visuals we observe the game from a side-view perspective. During the game we visit diverse locations, jump on platforms, avoid traps and various dangers but also fight enemies. During the fights we use not only futuristic weapons but also various acrobatic moves that can be performed by the hero, such as running on walls or deflecting incoming projectiles with a sword. Similarly to other games in this style the hero gets new abilities as the game progresses, which allows us to return to previous levels and reach places that were inaccessible before.

In the third installment of the series, the developers allowed us to freely explore the ninja village Konoha, during which we have the opportunity to talk to the residents of the settlement and learn the story, told in the style of the original series. In the course of the game we have a few dozens of tasks, commissioned by NPCs and focusing mainly on fighting with various opponents.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 is the first installment to be based on the events depicted in the second season of the original anime series. The story encompassed by the game goes on until the encounter with members of the Akatsuki organization, offering two separate types of stages - the classic duels labelled as Battle, and challenges belonging to the Action category, requiring the player to run away from various dangers. As usual, the game features a wide set of characters making use of various attacks and special techniques, as well as different items, such as shurikens or poisonous bombs. Fighting takes place in two layers - the foreground and the background, with the player being able to switch between them freely. What is new in this installment, is the introduction of the local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. In the Master Road mode, the player can invite two friends in order to play the game as a team.

The plot is a continuation of the story from its predecessor: when the protagonist is recognized as a splendid ninja, his best friend, Sasuke, becomes jealous. The fact is taken advantage of by the leader of the renegade ninjas, Orochimaru, who talks Sasuke into leaving his companions and joining his side. Of course, Naruto decides to search for his friend and snatch him from the enemy's hands. Mechanics-wise, it is another action-adventure game, which emphasizes spectacular combat. Unlike in the previous installment, in Naruto: The Broken Bond you don't control just one character but a group of three.

An independent arcade game developed for Xbox One and local area network multiplayer. The players assume the role of ninjas fighting each other for life and death. Available modes for two teams of two players feature a mix of Capture the Flag and Assassination, in which ninjas try to kill rival’s Shogun and protect their own. Other two game variants put all players against each other: Deathtrace (in which the objective is to survive as long as possible) and Mirror Match (in which the player controls five ninjas at the same time. SlashDash presents world from a top-down perspective. In battles, the player can use nine unique weapons, which are unlocked by progressing through the game. Maps are interactive and filled with destructible objects, and the gameplay is very fast-paced. While its two-dimensional visuals are simple, they consist of many actual elements from the Edo period.

The next edition of the Senran Kagura series, which is a three-dimensional action production with adventure elements. Players take on the role of heroines attending a secret ninja school and carry out missions assigned to them, fighting enemies using special techniques and fighting styles. A novelty in the cycle is the possibility of playing multiplayer in co-op mode.

Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the third-person walker brawler is based on the cult manga and anime about the adventures of a young ninjutsu student, Naruto Uzumaki. The game takes us through a series of different locations, facing off against waves of enemies, while the range of our moves is limited to jumping and delivering weak and strong attacks - both on the ground and in the air.
