Haranir

The second significant novelty brought by the expansion is a new playable race. Haranir are solitary people from the Harandar jungle, capable of using bioluminescence (which makes their equipment glow), and also able to transform into powerful bats.

Prey

Prey is a form of activity in which players completing tasks involving tracking monsters and hunting them. In return, we receive rewards in the form of cosmetic items and home decorations, as well as mounts or titles.

Devourer

Another place on the list of major new features introduced in World of Warcraft: Midnight is occupied by the third specialization for Demon Hunters. The Devourer performs best in short and medium range combat, and on the battlefield he gathers Void, which allows him to use powerful abilities.

Other features

The remaining novelties in World of Warcraft: Midnight include:

1. four new zones;
2. three raids;
3. eight dungeons;
4. eleven Delves (waiting to be explored in the company of the legendary elf Valeera Sanguinar);
5. Slayer's Rise (PvP Battleground designed for 40 vs 40 battles, where both teams fight to take control over the opponent's base).

Additionally, the developers have improved the process of gaining levels for new and returning players.

Story

After the events depicted in World of Warcraft: The World Within, the forces of darkness are tightening their grip on Azeroth. Hordes of creatures from the Void invaded the legendary Quel'Thalas - the ancient home of the High Elves, located north of the human enclave in Lordaeron. Their goal is the Sunwell. As it is a source of immense magical energy, the creatures of darkness want to absorb all its light, to plunge the world into darkness and fear.

Our task is to assist in unitifying all the elf tribes inhabiting Azeroth - which, if successful, will happen for the first time since the Battle of Suramar Pass, when they were led by Queen Azshara. We must also support the Forces of Light in the final battle for the Old World, aiming to get rid of the shadow once and for all.

Technical aspects

Just like all other add-ons, World of Warcraft: Midnight is not a standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of World of Warcraft.
