Assassin's Creed Valhalla With Two DLCs and Lots of Free Content

Ubisoft has shared its plans for the post-launch support of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The roadmap includes both paid expansions and free updates.

Not only Watch Dogs: The Legion will receive significant support from Ubisoft in the form of numerous updates with new game modes, missions and characters. Another upcoming hit by the French company, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, will also receive many significant additions (both paid and free). A few-minute video showing what we will receive from the developers within the next year, appeared on the web.

The owners of Season Pass can count on at least two story DLCs and one special mission. In the spring of 2021 we will play Wrath of the Druids, which is an expansion that takes us to Irish forests to discover a few ancient secrets, and at the same time face the Druids. In the summer we get The Siege of Paris, an addition less mystical but more historical because it focuses on the clash of Scandinavian peoples with the Franks. As for the single task, it will be called "The Legend of Beowulf" and we have already heard some rumors about it before. Its plot will refer to an old English poem featuring the eponymous monster.

More content is also available for the players without Season Pass. Valhalla will be regularly updated at the end of this year, and also in spring, summer, and autumn of 2021. Of course, we're talking about huge patches that will add new skills, cosmetic items, game modes, and missions. Each of them will officially open a new season. For now, we only learned a little bit more about the first one, launching in December 2020. Among other things, there will be The River Raids mode, in which we will most probably use drakkars to conquer the surrounding lands, as well as more areas where we can expand the settlement.

It's good to know that Ubisoft wants to take care of the players for a little longer than until the release, and will not limit itself to paid extras. But how will it look like in practice? We'll find out about it in the future. Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be release on November 10, 2020, on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and on November 12 it will appear on PS5.
