There were some interesting things happening on the Steam bestseller list this past week. Cyberpunk 2077 returned to the podium, and DayZ and Squad set new activity records thanks to discounts.
Like every Monday a list of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the previous week on Steam was published.
The top two positions are identical to the previous list - the sales leader was once again the Steam Deck, and among the games the most popular was Elden Ring.
More interesting things happened in the further places. On the lowest step of the podium we find Cyberpunk 2077. Behind this success is the ongoing discountm which enables us to buy the game for 50% off. The discount is valid until May 2.
Last week also marked continued excellent sales of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, whose different editions took fourth and fifth spot.
After a long absence, DayZ and Squad returned to the top 10. In their case it is also due to attractive discounts. The latter was also greatly helped by a recent free weekend.
DayZ is doing great. Yesterday the game set a new activity record at 58,523 concurrent users.
The achievements of Squad are also worth noting. When the game could be tested without paying, it set a new activity record (26 thousand concurrent users). Interestingly, however, after the end of the free period, the game did not return to its former popularity. Before the aforementioned deal, the activity record amounted to 15 thousand people at the same time, while yesterday (a week after the end of the free period) at the hottest moment of the day it was 16,715.
