Dying Light 2 Will be at Gamescom - Info on New Trailer

Dying Light 2 will get a new trailer in August. Techland confirmed its presence at gamescom 2021, where the game's lead designer, Tymon Smektala, is expected to talk about the combat system and parkour mechanics.

The upcoming gamescom trade show heralds the end of cucumber time in the game industry.Developers from Techland are clearly aware of this, as they are preparing another show of Dying Light on August 26. It will be the third episode of the stream series titled Dying 2 Know. The broadcast will begin at 11 AM PT and will be hosted by the game's lead designer, Tymon Smektala. The developer will talk about the two most important elements of the game, namely the combat system and parkour.

The event was announced in the material posted above. It is worth noting that the developers are preparing more attractions for the end of August than those already mentioned. At the Cologne fair we can also expect a new trailer of Dying Light 2. We'll also learn a bit more about the game's main character, Aiden Caldwell, including his attitude to life as an infected person. Moreover, we're to see cosplays inspired by the title.

Dying Light 2 is set to launch on December 7 on PC, XONE, XSX|S, PS4 and PS5. On 9th-gen consoles, we'll be able to choose between performance mode (aiming at 60 fps at the cost of lower resolution) and quality mode (30 fps and graphical effects such as ray tracing). In addition - like in the first part - the creators intend to put a whole lot of easter eggs into the game.

Last, but not least - if by any miracle you've missed the previous two episodes of Dying 2 Know and want to catch up, you can do it here and here. I especially recommend the second episode, in which the creators discuss the types of monsters to appear in the game. It's also worth getting familiar with the plot of the upcoming title.
