EA Wants to Release 14 Titles Between April 2020 and March 2021

Electronic Arts wants to publish 14 titles in the coming fiscal year. In addition to the four installments of sports cycles we will also receive four large productions and several independent and mobile games.

We know EA's plans for the next few months.

It seems that Electronic Arts plans to release 14 titles in fiscal year 2021 (which starts in April 2020). The list includes four installments of sports series published every year, four other major productions, four works by third-party or independent developers and two mobile games (soft launches). The information was summarised on Twitter by Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners, but the original source is the conference accompanying the publication of the quarterly financial report.

EA has not yet disclosed the games in question. The plans for the fiscal year in question do not apply to the new installment of the Battlefield series, which will be released only between April 2021 and March 2022. It is known that EA Motive studio is developing new IPs. Further projects are being developed by Criterion and Maxis (not to mention BioWare - but in the case of this developer, a release in 2020 seems unlikely). EA's publishing plans probably also include the next instalment of the Medal of Honor series, which is being prepared with VR devices in mind.

Interestingly, the publisher also confirmed that it is working on remasters of popular titles. We know that the team at Petroglyph is working on refreshed versions of Command & Conquer games. There are also rumors on the web from time to time about a Mass Effect remaster, but so far these have not been confirmed. It is also worth remembering the recent reports about the remake of Knights of the Old Republic, which is said to be an introduction to a new film saga.

Daniel Ahmad's tweet also mentions that Electronic Arts is planning to support next-gen platforms (which probably comes as no surprise to anyone) and develop further eSports IPs.
