Fortnite Will be PS5 and XSX's Launch Title; Game Will Switch to UE5

Epic Games has announced the release of Fortnite on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The title will be released on both platforms shortly after their release. In addition, the company intends to move the game to Unreal Engine 5.

Fortnite will be one of the first games available on PS5 and XSX.

The presentation of Unreal Engine 5 certainly stirred the imagination of the players. Many have already started dreaming about games that will benefit from this technology. For now, however, one of them has been confirmed, and that is... Fortnite. An entry related to the presentation reveals that Epic Games' title will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as soon as both platforms are released. In other words, Fortnite will de facto be one of ninth generation's launch titles. What's more, the devs are planning to move this highly popular game to Unreal Engine 5, which is expected to take place in the middle of next year.

The information is certainly not surprising. Fortnite remains one of the most popular titles on the market, despite a noticeable decline in form. Epic Games has also made an effort to spread it across all available platforms. It is therefore obvious that the company does not intend to abandon the game after the release of ninth generation consoles.
