Ghost of Tsushima Close to Historic Sales in Japan

According to Twitter, an independent industry analyst known as Benji-Sales, Ghost of Tsushima is currently the second best-selling game from Sony-owned studio ever. Spider-Man is in the first place, although Sucker Punch is likely to beat him soon.

It is no secret that Ghost of Tsushima is a very big hit in Japan. Although it is a western game, it has hit just the right notes for the people of this island country, who stormed the stores, leading to shortage of boxed copies in some places. According to Twitter, an independent industry analyst known as Benji-Sales (based on data from the Game Data Library), such great interest in the latest work of Sucker Punch almost reached the ceiling of 300,000 boxed copies sold in Japan alone in just three weeks after its launch, making it the second best-selling game from a Sony-owned studio ever. It is bested only by Spider-Man.

Benji-Sales writes that he is rather certain that Ghost of Tsushima will beat the virtual adventures of the famous Spider-Man from Insoniac Games and jump to the spot of top Sony bestseller in Japan. According to the analyst, this will happen in the next few weeks.

Benji-Sales also notes that according to some, Knack should be at the top of the list. The analyst does not agree with this statement. In his opinion, the sales figures for Sony's arcade game are disturbed by the fact that it was added to the PlayStation 4 console just after its release.

Ghost of Tsushima continues its triumphant march through Japan.

Ghost of Tsushima is available only on PlayStation 4.
