IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Industria is an FPS that takes us to an alternative reality;
  2. The main source of inspiration for the devs were Half-Life 2 and Portal 2, however, we there is also a tinge of the intriguing Atomic Heart in the mix;
  3. The game will be powered by the Unreal Engine 4 technology; we've also learned the game's hardware requirements.

Headup Games announced the FPS called Industria, which will take us on a journey to a parallel world. Independent studio Bleakmill is working on the game and although the developers mention Half-Life 2 and Portal 2 among their sources of inspiration, the materials shared by the publisher also evoke associations with the intriguing Atomic Heart. The title is coming to PC and will launch next year. Below, we can be find the first details about its storyline and gameplay, but for a good start let's see the game's atmospheric trailer.

The action of Industria starts on November 9, 1989. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, the German capital was not only euphoric but also chaotic. The main character of the game arrives at a state research center, called by her friend Walter, where the action of destroying evidence after a secret project is underway. When it turns out that Walter went missing, the protagonist starts a desperate search, which leads her to an alternative reality. In this surreal world of steam engines, danger lurks around every corner and mystery chases mystery.

Industria is supposed to keep us entertained for about four hours. Travelling through diverse, more or less surrealistic locations, we will fight against mechanical opponents using four different weapons (among others, a pickaxe, a pistol or a shotgun). The title will distinguish itself from most other representatives of the genre by a total lack of crosshairs and "unnecessary additions"; all this so as not to interfere with our immersion in the game world.
