Hangar 13 released the first post-launch update of Mafia: Definitive Edition. Patch 1.03 removes a handful of bugs and introduces new features, including a Noir mode.
After a rather cold reception of the third game and not the best remasters, the fans of the Mafia series were relieved to hear positive reviews of the remake of the first game (as well as praise from one of the original authors). However, the title was not without errors, as the devs at Hangar 13 are aware. Some of them were removed by the first post-launch update for Mafia: Definitive Edition marked 1.03, which also introduces a handful of novelties.
When it comes to changes. the enhanced options of user interface personalization come to the fore. From now on, we can remove many of its elements, whether using the dedicated minimalist mode or individually turning off minimap, indicators etc. If we want to further emphasize the atmosphere of the 1930s, the creators introduced a special Noir filter, thanks to which we can play through the whole game in black and white. The latest innovation is the free ride mode outside races. The team at Hangar 13 also boast of having added some elements to be discovered when using this option.
Apart from the new features, Hangar 13 has taken care of the issues reported by players. This includes a bug with a black screen occasionally displayed during cut-scenes, as well as problems with unlocking vehicles after completing missions commissioned by Lucas Bertone and some special animation that should appear as part of The Saint and The Sinner task.
