Netflix's Witcher - Work on Season 2 Will be Resumed Soon

Within two weeks, the creators of the second season of The Witcher series will be able to get back to work. However, it will take some time before the photos are resumed. Nevertheless, Henry Cavill should wear Geralt of Rivia dress again before the end of the holiday.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Arborfield Studios, an HQ of sorts for the second season of The Witcher in the UK, will resume operations within two weeks;
  2. The creators of the series will be able to make a kind of "second pre-production";
  3. Redanian Intelligence theorizes whether the actors return to the set in July or August.

On March 16, we informed that the work on the second season of The Witcher series was suspended until further notice. The reason for this was the threat caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, according to Redanian Intelligence, the situation should change soon.

Arborfield Studios, which is a kind of work centre for the second season of The Witcher in the UK, has announced that it intends to resume operations within two weeks. At present, this does not mean a full return to the set, but only an opportunity for the creators to make a kind of "second pre-production". The editors of Redanian Intelligence assume that the actors and others working on season second of Geralt of Rivia's adventures should return to work in July or August.

One could assume that the work on the set of the second season of The Witcher will resume during summer holidays.

It is worth reminding, that initially the team of the second season of The Witcher got 125 days for filming. As the work on the set officially started on February 21, it is easy to count that if it wasn't for the pandemic, at the turn of July and August, Henry Cavill and the company should have be free to go. At present, it is not known how much time the creators of the series will have for the filming after the resuming of work.

And what can we expect from the second season of The Witcher? First of all, the presence of Vesemir (played by Kim Bodnia) and Nivellen (played by Kristofer Hivju), as well as special effects made by Polish studio Platige Image. More details about the second season of the series can be found in our news from the end of April; at the end of February we presented photos from the set showing the further fate of Yennefer
