New Info on Know by Heart From Pathologic Devs
The team at Ice-Pick Lodge, known from the Pathologic series, revealed new details and first materials from Know by heart. We also learned the game's system requirements.
In July this year, Ice-Pick Lodge, devs known from the Pathologic series, announced that the team is working on several new projects. Among them was Know by heart, but not many details about it were revealed. Now, the title has been given a card on Steam, so we got some new details. We also received the first trailer and screenshots.
The action of the game will take place in the Russian province at the turn of the 20th and 21st century. We will play as a man named Misha, whose boring existence will be changed by his return to the hometown of his old flame. This event will also contribute to the renewal of childhood friendships. Of course it's an Ice-Pick Lodge game, so these happy moments won't last long and something will happen quickly that will threaten the relationships between the characters.
Know by heart will be a relatively short game - it will take about 5 hours to complete it. However, the story will be largely non-linear and will offer several alternative endings. The gameplay will focus on exploration and various mini-games. The game will also feature mechanics revolving around the protagonist's thoughts and memories, but the creators did not reveal how that will work.
As announced earlier, Know by heart is heading not only for PC, but also for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The launch is scheduled for the second quarter of next year. Further plans include porting the project to mobile devices with iOS and Android systems.
