Battle of Waterloo Recreated in Roblox

A group of players created another great project in Roblox. This time they made it possible to take part in the famous battle of Waterloo.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Roblox just gained a project recreating the Battle of Waterloo;
  • Up to 1500 people can take part in the clash;
  • The biggest battle takes place every month.

From the beginning, Roblox enabled players to create their own worlds and games based on the foundation offered by the title. A new project that is getting a lot of attention is Waterloo. As the name suggests, it enables us to take part in the last battle of Napoleon Bonaparte. The project enables us to play on a map that reproduces, on an appropriate scale, the terrain on which the historic clash took place. The developers have tried to faithfully reflect the layout of key locations, such as the Hougoumont farm, which was crucial for the battle.

The map size is so big that it is impossible to play it using a single server. Instead, the creators divided it into sectors served by separate servers. Moving between them and moving to other areas of the map is not limited. Thanks to this solution many players can take part in the battle of Waterloo at the same time. Standard clashes gather groups of about 350 people. However, once a month a big event is organized, in which 1500 players take part. They divide themselves into regiments, establish command, and recreate the last battle of the Napoleonic era by communicating in real time.

The project was created by a user named GeneralGory and supported by players from the Empire Francais group. This is their second project set in historical reality. Previously, they created a map, which enabled us to take part in the Battle of Strasbourg, an important clash from the Franco-Prussian War. Its scale, however, is incomparably smaller than the one achieved with Waterloo. In order to take part in the monthly battle, players must join a special group, where we can also find access to the communicators used in the game.
