Sean Connery Passed Away

Sean Connery, a titled Scottish actor and film producer, passed away at the age of 90. He was appreciated primarily for one of James Bond's incarnations and participation in the Indiana Jones series.

Another legend of cinema has left our world for good. Sean Connery passed away at a dignified age of 90. His family informed about his passing, the message was made public by BBC. The actor died in his sleep during his stay in the Bahamas. He had been struggling with health problems for some time.

Connery can certainly be called a true artist. He was born in Scotland, but he conquered entire Hollywood with his abilities. His characteristic accent, voice tone and a ton of outstanding roles will be remembered forever. Most people probably associate him with the role of Henry Jones Senior in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or the classic Bond series, in which he played the role of agent 007.

He was also an excellent performer in detective stories - he appeared in as a background character in the 1974 Murder on the Orient Express, as well as the main role in the adaptation of Umberto Eco's excellent novel The Name of the Rose. He also contributed to classic Hollywood cinema, co-creating the iconic gangster film The Untouchables or the sensational hit of the early 1990s, Hunt for the Red October (where he appeared alongside Sam Neill or Alec Baldwin).

But what is worth emphasizing is that Connery knew when to leave the stage. At the age of 80 he officially ended his career and went on a well-deserved retirement, having won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA award and a noble title. After the end of his professional adventure, he avoided the media, but he could be seen on Wimbledon as an ordinary spectator. Rest in peace, Master. Thank you for all the emotions and memories you have provided us with. And for what roles will you remember the actor?

His adventure with journalism began with a personal blog, the name of which is no longer worth quoting. Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
