We have just learned that some of the new titles released by Sony will also appear on other platforms, but they will be mainly multiplayer productions.

Two days ago we informed that Sony Interactive Entertainment is buying Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for making hits such as Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank and Spyro. The companies, which have been cooperating for almost two decades, are tightening their cooperation and we can expect further large production from under their banner. We also learned about the plans of the Japanese company to release exclusive PlayStation titles on other hardware platforms.
In an interview given to Bloomberg by SIE Worldwide Studios' CEO Shawn Layden, we can read that exclusive titles will continue to be the company's main strategy, but we should expect some productions (most likely multiplayer) to appear on other devices as well.
“We must support the PlayStation platform -- that is nonnegotiable. That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base.”
As if to confirm these words, yesterday pre-orders for ReadySet Heroes appeared in Epic Games Store; the game's publisher is Sony. For the uninitiated, we explain that this is a multiplayer production in which we and out friends battle through randomly generated dungeons. However, at the moment it is not known whether the game will be available on other websites, such as Steam.

Many of you may have thought of other exclusive titles like The Last of Us or God of War at first, but let's face it, the chances of releasing them on PC are practically zero. Sony, most likely observing popular online games (e.g. Fortnite) and seeing how successful some of them were, decided to follow a similar path.
