Will Stranger Things DLC Return to DBD?

Stranger Things presence in Dead by Daylight

In 2019 Dead by Daylight has been enriched with DLC licensed on Stranger Things. It features a new killer - Demogorgon - and two survivors: Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington. A map featuring Hawkins National Laboratory was also added.

Two years later, in November 2021, the DLC was pulled from sale. Those who purchased it still have the characters from the series, but the map was removed. No reason was provided for the license expiration.

Rumors about the return of Stranger Things to Dead by Daylight

At this point there is no official information on the return of Stranger Things to Dead by Daylight. However, there are rumors suggesting that such a situation may take place. According to the twitter account DBDLeaks Netflix has contacted Behaviour Interactive about working together again. This would not only mean that the removed DLC would be back on the market, but also that there would be entirely new content related to the series.

Originally, rumors suggested that Dead by Daylight would receive Vecna, the antagonist of the fourth season of Stranger Things. A graphic that purportedly showed a concept drawing of the new killer was used as evidence. However, this rumor has been partially debunked, and the graphic turned out to be a fan project.

It should be borne in mind that DBD is to receive another licensed DLC. It is Project W, which represents the next chapter based on the iconic Resident Evil series.
