WoW Patch 9.0.1 Goes Live; Preparation for Shadowlands

Popular MMORPG World of Warcraft received patch 9.0.1. The update adds a new location and prepares the game for the release of the Shadowlands expansion.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. WoW received patch 9.0.1, making some changes related to the upcoming Shadowlands expansion;
  2. Update changes the character level cap, introduces new options for customizing character appearance and adds the starting location of Exile's Reach.

Developers at Blizzard Entertainment announced that the patch 9.0.1 for MMORPG World of Warcraft will go live today, preparing it for the launch of Shadowlands (note that the latter was recently delayed).

This means that the level cap has been reduced to 50 (the new level cap after completing the expansion will be 60, as it used to be in the original WoW) . Of course, at the same time all classes, specializations and items have undergone appropriate changes, adapting them to the new limit. There is also a large number of new options for adjusting the character appearance.

Probably the biggest novelty is the location called Exile's Reach, where all the new characters will be placed from now on. On this map we'll get the first ten levels and learn the basic gameplay mechanics, and then we'll be redirected to the contents of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is worth noting that veterans of the game will be able to skip Exile's Reach and support rookies with advice in a special chat.

The creators have also prepared a video guide, where we can find basic information about survival in the Shadowlands add-on.
