Sons of the Forest: Storage

This game guide page discusses buildings for storing materials such as sticks or stones, items, and food. Here you will find a list of blueprints and materials needed for constructing them.

Stick Storage

As the name suggests, you can store collected sticks there. The building is very simple - you only need to use 6 Sticks to build it.

Rock Storage

Instead of carrying rocks with you, you can put them in the storage. To build it, use 7 Sticks on the blueprint.

Log Storage

It's a good idea to build a Log Storage to gather some logs and use them later for more complex structures. The required materials to build it are 8 Sticks.

Bone Storage

You need 7 Sticks to build the Bone Storage. The building allows you to store the remains of mutants and cannibals, which you can later use to create armor or decorations.

Drying Rack

The Drying Rack allows you to dry meat and fish, preventing them from spoiling over time. Useful if you want to have some provisions with a long shelf life. To build a stand, just use 13 Sticks in the blueprint.

Mannequin

A Mannequin is designed to store and display clothing.

To build a Mannequin, you will need:

1. 20x Stick
2. 5x Duck Tape.

Shelf

After building a Shelf, you will be able to place prepackaged food (MRE, cereal, canned food) on it for later use.

To build a Shelf, you need the following materials:

1. 3x Half Plank;
2. 2x Three Quarter Plank.

As a Shelf is built from a blueprint, you don't have to worry about cutting the logs because the game will do this for you automatically. For more on building using blueprints, see the page Building and Planning.

Wall Shelf

A Wall shelf has the same function as its standing counterpart. However, you have to build it on an existing surface, preferably in the middle of the shelter.

To build a Wall Shelf, you need:

1. 1x Half Plank;
2. 2x Stick.
