Sons of the Forest: Traps

Traps are a good way to surprise cannibals and mutants. It is worth setting them up in front of the shelter, so that uninvited guests will trigger them. On this page of the guide, you will find out what traps are available in the game and what materials you need to construct them.

• Small Animal Trap
• Fish Trap
• Bone Maker Trap
• Fly Swatter Trap

Small Animal Trap

You will build this trap using 14 Sticks. The construction should be placed somewhere near hares and squirrels. After some time, the animal should get trapped.

Fish Trap

Fish trap should be placed in shallow water where animals are present. It is important to choose the right place before you start constructing it, because it cannot be moved once it is finished. After some time, there should be fish in the trap. A Fish Trap requires 25 Sticks.

Bone Maker Trap

This type of trap should be placed in front of the shelter. When enemies get caught in it, they will take damage.

To complete it, you'll need the following materials:

1. 2x Stick;
2. 3x Leaves;
3. 3x Rock;
4. 1x Vodka Bottle;
5. 1x Rope.

Fly Swatter Trap

This is the second type of defensive trap, effective against mutants and cannibals. If you have a few ropes to spare, consider placing a few of these traps around your base. Especially since other materials are widely available in the forest.

Fly Swatter Trap requires:

1. 10x Stick;
2. 3x Leaves;
3. 1x Rope.
