Sons of the Forest: Temperature

Seasons mechanics have been implemented to SotF. During winter, your character needs warmth to keep them from freezing. Similarly, when wading in snow or water, your body temperature will start to drop.

How to protect yourself from the cold?

There are three ways to warm up:

1. putting on warmer clothes;
2. using a lit fire;
3. lighting a torch in the right hand.

The latter method is the best because a torch will slowly warm you up, and when your character gets warmer, the torch will make you resistant to further freezing.

Negative effects

If your character is freezing, ice marks will appear on the screen. Staying in a cold place for a long time without proper preparation can decrease your stamina limit.
