System Shock Remake: Does code 0451 work on the first door?
0451 is usually the combination for the first door in immersive sim games. Our guide explains whether the code 0451 will also work in System Shock Remake to open the first electronic lock on the Medical Level.
Older parts of System Shock have popularized the code 0451 which opened the first locked door. On this page of the guide, you will learn whether the code 0451 also work in System Shock Remake and whether you can use it to open the first electronic lock at the Medical deck.
First locked door

You will come across the first locked door within the first minutes of the game, after completing the prologue and waking up in the Healing Suite on the Medical deck. The doors prevent you from leaving the clinic and exploring the rest of the Citadel's first deck.
Entering the code to open the lock

As a reminder, the combination 451 (later changed to 0451) is a tradition started by two classic parts System Shock and was continued in most of the subsequent games of the immersive sim genre, such as Deus Ex, Dishonored or Bioshock.
The famous code 451 is also available in System Shock Remake. You enter it without adding zero at the beginning, because all electronic keyboards in the game accept only 3-digit combinations. By entering the code correctly, you will open the door and be ready to defeat the first mutant.

You can also optionally find the flash drive with the first combination to the door. Examine the southern side of the room, open the lower hatch and crouch down to get to the control room.

In the southern room, you will find a flash drive with saved text message New Code. You can now read it. It confirms that the correct door code for Healing Suites is 451.
