Trying to escape from the Citadel with the help of an escape pod is one of the tasks in System Shock Remake. This guide page explains where the escape pods are on the Flight Deck, what the code to the pod is, and when you can attempt to leave the station.

Activating the Life Pod with the intent of escaping The Citadel is one of the story quests of System Shock Remake. Our guide describes the whole procedure - how to activate Life Pods, how to reach them (Flight Deck), what code to input at the Pod, and how to activate the Pod and reach Security Deck.

Unlocking the Life Pod mission

By default, Life Pods are unavailable. They don't have to be active, as they become useful only in exceptional situations. Your move to initiate reactor self-destruct (we describe this on a dedicated page) has caused a lot of ruckus.

You begin right where we left off - at the self-destruct console on Reactor Deck - and you need to reach Flight Deck fast.

Reaching the Life Pods

Use elevators to reach the Flight Deck. Expect SHODAN to send some more enemies your way.

The Life Pods are on the eastern edge of the Deck, between Flight Bay 2 and Flight Bay 3.

Be careful, as as you make your way to the pods, Cyborg Diego will appear. Retreat back to areas with more cover. This will make it easier to defeat the opponent without losing too much health.

Inputting Life Pod unlock code

There are 2 pods available and you can choose any of them. The code to open the pod is 001 - you've received it from Rebecca earlier.

Attempts to leave the station

After entering the pod, pull the lever. SHODAN has made sure that you won't be able to leave The Citadel.

Reaching the Security Deck

Leave the life pod and listen to a new conversation with Rebecca Lansing. You can now explore Security Deck fully.

As a reminder, you need to reach Systems Engineering. The elevator riding to Security Deck is in the southern part of the map, not far from one of the relays you've destroyed earlier.
