One of the groups of collectibles in System Shock Remake are ID Tags. In our guide you will find information on where to find ID Tags, how to read the text and is there any practical use for dog tags in the game.
Finding ID Tags as loot
ID Tags were give to the staff and management of the Citadel station. During the game, you will not encounter other living characters. This means that the dog tags are found only by the corpses - they can be added to your inventory after examining the body.
Reading the dog tags
After highlighting an ID Tag, hold down ALT key. You will learn the identity of the person to whom the dog tag was assigned.
Use for ID Tags
ID Tags have no practical use - you don't need them to open doors or receive unique rewards.
You can carry dog tags in your inventory, but each ID Tag requires a separate slot. The only real use is to turn dog tags into scrap. Select the ID Tag, right-click on and press Vaporize.
As a reminder, you can exchange junk at recycle stations for Tri-credits. This way you will be able to buy items at various vending machines.
