The Alters: How to treat injuries?
The appearance of an injury can reduce performance or prevent you from continuing to play The Alters. Our guide tells you about the types of injuries, as well as how to take treatment and cure the injury.
How to treat an Alter's injury and restore his health? This is one of the problems you can encounter while playing The Alters. From this part of the guide, you will learn how to recognize an injury, the extent of damage, as well as how to heal the Alter faster and restore his health.
How to recognize an injury?
- Injuries and damage in the game are random. If they happen, you'll be notified in the lower left corner of the screen (example in the picture). Additionally, getting an injury for the first time will automatically activate a tutorial related to this mechanic.
Information about the injury is also displayed in the Alters tab. There you can find information about how long the Alter needs to fully recover.
Injuries are divided into two types:
- Regular injuries reduce the work efficiency of the Alter. Sending him for treatment in this case is optional, although it may speed up his recovery process.
- Serious injuries will prevent the alters from working whatsoever. Moreover, ignoring them can lead to the death of the Alter - so you can't just wait them out.
Where to treat injuries?
- You can treat injuries in the infirmary - to build it you need 20 metals, 60 minerals and 6 free slots.
- After building the infirmary, you can go to the Assignments tab and assign the injured Alter to one of the beds(example pictured above). He will stop working and start recovering.
- Jan the Doctor is tied to the infirmary, but unfortunately, you can only get him after reaching Qubit Level 3.
- The Doctor doesn't need to be there for the treatment to start. It is recommended though, as he will speed up the treatment and make the Alter return to work much faster. Assign the Doctor to the infirmary as soon as a new patient appears.
You can also get rid of radiation effects at the infirmary. We've covered it in more detail on the page How to avoid radiation?.
