How to unlock fast travel?

1. You will unlock fast travel during the prologue. In the task Organics Matter, you have to craft the first Mining Outpost which we described in more detail on the How to use the scanner? page.
2. Every Mining Outpost can be a fast travel point - you will find the corresponding panel next to it.

How does fast travel work?

1. Fast travel allows you to travel between mining outposts and the base. You can choose the destination at the map window. As for the base, it can be a panel in front of its entrance or an airlock inside it.
2. Fast travel is free and unlimited. As a result, this is a great technique to save time traveling across the planet and accomplish more tasks.

Travel pylons

1. In the further part of the game, there will be an opportunity to craft travel pylons tied to fast travel. You have to first craft them in the workshop at the main base.
2. You can place the travel pylon anywhere in the game. It's best to select locations that you often return to, where you don't have any Mining Outposts. Unfortunately, you always have to connect the travel pylon with your base, meaning that you'll have to place additional pylons along the way to create a connection (green lines in the construction window). Only then will a fast travel point activate.
