The Thaumaturge: All Our Curses The Thaumaturge guide, walkthrough

All Our Curses is the main quest that starts Act 2 of The Thaumaturge game. From the walkthrough you will learn how to search your father's office, the Szulskis' store in the Mir district, the Nozyk synagogue, the old pharmacy and the rabbi's office, as well as how to interrogate Mordechai and discover the source of the Golem's curse.

One of the first story quests you'll have a chance to tackle in Act 2 of The Thaumaturge is All Our Curses. On this page you can find a detailed walkthrough for it, explaining, among others, how to correctly examine father's study, how to reach the Mirow district, how to search Nozyk Synagogue and old pharmacy, how to interrogate Morderchaj Chajat, where are the traces in the dungeon below the synagogue, and finally how to learn the source of Golem curse hunting Wiktor.

Going to bed

  1. Our All Curses is initiated immediately after the conclusion of To Dust, You Shall Return story quest. This is also the beginning of Act 2 of the campaign.
  2. In Szulski Family Tenement House, you need to once again talk to Ligia and ask her about Rasputin and Ivan. After the conversation, go to Wiktor's room, which is on the first floor (the room closest to the stairs).
  3. Interacting with the bed will bring a new vision, where you follow a very linear path through the building. You can talk to your father - Stanislaw.
  4. After waking up, go to the ground floor to talk to your sister, who is seated by the table. This will initiate two new main quests - Children of Satan and Dangerous Friends. You can proceed with the quests in any order you like.

  1. Father's study is the northernmost room on the first floor of Szulski Family Tenement House. After entering the room, use Perception to locate new observations - related to this quest are Old Letter, Kabbalistic Text and Amulet. These traces lead to unlocking Golem's Genesis conclusion.

  1. Leave the tenement house and use a carriage or tram. You'll see that a new location, Mirow, has been unlocked - go there.
  2. The Szulski Family Shop, which is your destination, is in the north-eastern corner of the district. Inside the shop, you can optionally talk to Ligia to unlock Cognitive Function side quest.
  3. Back to the main mission - use Perception to reveal Register of Goods, Mordechaj's Resignation Letter, and Old Clock traces.
  4. Examining the framed photo (screenshot above) will initiate a new conversation with Ligia regarding Mordechaj Chajat. Additionally, you'll reveal a trace - Group Photograph in the Store.

Going to Nozyk Synagogue

  1. You'll receive this objective after correctly searching father's study. The Nozyk Synagogue is one of the buildings in the south-eastern part of the Mirow district.
  2. Once inside, try to talk to the rabbi (Young Rabbi observation).
  3. You now need to search the synagogue for new observations - these are Cracked Wall, Bucket for Rainwater, and Old Ladder. This will unlock a new Conclusion - The Renovation of the Synagogue.
  4. Upyr should appear next to the worker, unlocking a manipulation option. 2 Heart Dimension points are required for this action. Sucessful manipulation unlocks the option to talk to the rabbi again.

  1. Enter the office to have a conversation about the curse and the Golem.
  2. Some dialogue options are initially locked - to get access to them, search for more traces in the office - Bitten Fountain Pen, Porcelain Cup, and Prescription. Use the newly unlocked dialogue options - this will unlock The Rabbi's Opinion of the Pharmacist observation.

  1. This objective is received after exhausting all dialogue options during the conversation with the rabbi in Nozyk Synagogue. The old pharmacy is located in the north-western part of the Mirow district.
  2. Once you enter, activate Perception. Look for Locked Pharmacy, Empty Pomade Container, and Windowsill observations. This will unlock Stanislaw's Sins conclusion.

  1. This objective is received after examining the photograph in Szulski Family Shop. Your destination is the vicinity of laundry in Mirow district. After reaching the designated location, you'll be stopped by a group of thugs that need to be defeated.
  2. Enter Mordechaj's office and join the conversation in progress. You can choose any reason for your arrival - this doesn't affect the quest in any way.

  1. Leave the conversation and activate Perception to search the entire office. You can find Lost Coin and Group Photograph in the Office traces here. This will unlock Stanislaw and Mordechaj conclusion.
  2. Talk to Mordechaj again and use new dialogue options to confront Mordechaj based on his conflict with Stanislaw.

  1. You need to go back to Nozyk Synagogue - you can get there with Mordechaj or on your own.
  2. Go down to the basement and then to the dungeon. Follow the rabbi and Mordechaj. Time to search the last room of the dungeon - there are Column, Inscribed Material, Buckets of Clay, and Destroyed Wall observations here. This will unlock The Synagogue Basement conclusion.
  3. Talk to Mordechai and Feldman about the latest discoveries. Use a special dialogue option (2 Word Dimension points) to persuade one of the interlocutors to reveal new information.
  4. You can leave the basement together with the men or on your own. The quest will now end and you'll unlock a new one - A Great Uproar.
