This page in our guide to Days Gone focuses on O'Leary Mountain Safehouse. This location is a full-fledged encampment but Deacon can still sleep here, refill supplies or fill up the gas tank in his bike.

You reach OLeary Mountain Safehouse automatically within the first few hours, after completing one of the main missions - You Got a Death Wish - Days Gone: OLeary Mountain Safehouse - Encampments - Days Gone Guide

You reach O'Leary Mountain Safehouse automatically within the first few hours, after completing one of the main missions - You Got a Death Wish. From now on this place will serve as a hideout for Deacon and Boozer.

Deacon and Boozer will leave this place after you make enough progress in the main storyline. After that, the heroes will travel to a new region called Lost Lake. However, you are still able to go back to O'Leary Mountain Safehouse to, e.g. get fuel. This place will also remain a fast travel point.

The watchtower in OLeary Mountain Safehouse is surrounded by a fence but this doesnt mean that this place is completely safe - Days Gone: OLeary Mountain Safehouse - Encampments - Days Gone Guide

The watchtower in O'Leary Mountain Safehouse is surrounded by a fence but this doesn't mean that this place is completely safe. You can find Freakers or animals roaming the nearby terrains. Also, bandits will appear there during one of the main missions.

If you are chased by an enemy, you can drive inside the hideout and shoot the enemies through the fence. Thanks to this method you won't have to risk with your life. You can also leave the hideout on your bike without stopping.

The most important place in OLeary Mountain Safehouse is the watchtower - Days Gone: OLeary Mountain Safehouse - Encampments - Days Gone Guide

The most important place in O'Leary Mountain Safehouse is the watchtower. Examine the building's ground level. You will find melee weapons and useful crafting materials.

Once you climb the top, you will be able to do three things:

  1. Use the bed to save the game or change the time of day.
  2. Open Boozer's supply chest (see the picture above). This chest can't be accessed during every visit here. You need to wait for Boozer to inform Deacon over the radio that the supplies are ready to be picked up. More information about that on Free supplies from Boozer page.
  3. Open the weapon locker. Deacon finds a crossbow when he visits this place for the first time. After that, the locker will serve as a place where you can change your weapons loadout.
The gas pump is another important place here - Days Gone: OLeary Mountain Safehouse - Encampments - Days Gone Guide

The gas pump is another important place here. Drive the bike to it and press the right button. This gas pump works in the same way as those found on gas stations - you can use it an unlimited number of times. Using this gas pump is highly recommended when you have a mission nearby.
