What are the choices about?
During your adventure, the game will occasionally give you decisions to make via a choice system. To continue your adventure you will need to choose one of several available dialogue options.
This is new, as the first game didn't feature any decisions to make. There was only a linear story leading to a specific ending.
Do choices affect the story?
Due to the complete linearity of the story, all decisions you make within the choice system have no impact on the game's story and are purely cosmetic. You can always experiment with the decisions you make though, as some of them are pretty cleverly designed.
