How does a coffin board work?
Traveling on a coffinboard is a bit like traveling on an floating carrier. Unlike the carrier though, the coffin can accelerate on its own. The vehicle floats slightly above the ground, which allows it to reach very high speeds. Additionally, when floating above water and tar, the coffin board moves even faster and uses less battery.
- The coffin board uses up its battery while driving and chiral crystals when Sam drags it behind him.
- It cannot be used outside the chiral network.
- It cannot be stored in a private locker nor a garage.
- Sam can also enter the coffin board to rest, hide from enemies or even stash corpses inside.
From our experience, we can say an abandoned coffin board does not disappear quickly. Additionally, the vehicle absorbs fall damage quite well, though at the cost of its durability. Be careful not to go up slopes too fast though. Jumping and falling on a coffin board may damage your cargo.
