Death Stranding 2: What is the Magellan evaluation?
Taking and completing orders is a fundamental part of the gameplay in Death Stranding 2. On this page of the guide we will explain to you what the Magellan evaluation is and how it connects to the fast travel mechanic.
Death Stranding 2 players can enjoy a fair amount of freedom in terms of how they complete orders. But what about using fast travel during missions? On this page of the guide you will learn what the Magellan evaluation is and how it affects the final grade of the completed task.
How does Magellan evaluation impact the order?
The Magellan evaluation is a special mark you receive for completing a task or request using the fast travel mechanic. If you boarded the ship with cargo and then moved to another port, your order will automatically be flagged.
Magellan evaluation reduces the number of likes you will receive for completing an order. This means that if you complete an order using fast travel, your relationship meter with that location will fill much slower. However, the task will still be considered completed.
The Magellan evaluation mechanic is designed to promote completing orders and requests without using fast travel. So if you care about building relationships and filling all the stars, we strongly advise against using the Magellan during missions.
