A first-person adventure game with puzzles, developed by small team at Spanish Team Gotham studio. The Guest takes place in the 80s inside an obscure hotel. The main hero is a Soviet scientist with a mysterious past, who struggles with mental issues due to his medicine addiction. After he wakes up in the middle of the night, he finds the hotel has been completely abandoned, and various obstacles are trying to take his life and prevent him from leaving the building. We move through subsequent hotel rooms trying to get outside, collecting useful items and solving many various puzzles on the way. We also learn that the story of this building somehow related to the hero's dark past.

A first-person science-fiction adventure game and the debut project of Mindfield Games, an independent Finnish studio. The story of P.O.L.L.E.N. takes us to an alternative version of the 90s, when a combination of the American and Russian space programs resulted in a rapid progress in the field. The player assumes the role of a new employee of Rama Industries, a company that builds a base on one of the Saturn’s moons. Upon arrival, we discover that the entire crew that resided there is gone without a trace. The protagonist’s task is to find out what really happened in the base and find a way to escape the place. In the game, the action is observed from a first-person perspective, and the gameplay involves primarily exploration and puzzle-solving. Most of the latter can be solved in numerous ways, which is ensured by high interactivity of the environment and the possibility to manipulate practically all devices we come across.

A real-time strategy game enriched with action elements and created by Mechabit - an independent developer. After a huge meteorite hits the Earth, powerful, extremely aggressive monsters spread across the globe. Apart from unimaginable scale of destruction in the largest cities, the monsters cause natural disasters and weather anomalies. The player assumes command over a rescue team and their goal is to both help the survivors and fight the titular Kaiju. Thus the player explores subsequent maps, helps the locals and builds defensive structures capable of stopping waves of approaching monsters. Since particular kinds of Kaiju differ in their specifics and weapons they are more vulnerable to, the player has to make use of plenty of upgrades granting more and more powerful weaponry and gadgets. Alongside progression, the player expands the in-game bestiary which contains descriptions of particular monster species. Kaiju Panic comes with simplistic old-school visuals.

A sequel to the 2013 action game Toukiden: The Age of Demons, created by Japanese studio Omega Force (known for e.g. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors). Unlike its predecessor, which was only available for portable devices, Toukiden 2 was also released for PlayStation 3 and 4 home consoles. The game's mechanics are similar to those of the first installment, so it's still a hack and slash with RPG elements. The setting is again the fantasy world ravaged by armies of demons, and you play as a seasoned warrior, who's dedicated to defeat them. The combat system is based on spectacular combo attacks and requires some agility. When facing boss enemies, you need to use a proper strategy and take advantage of your opponent's weaknesses. Toukiden 2 features an open world, where you can find NPCs, side quests, and various service providers. Apart from the singleplayer campaign, the game also has an online multiplayer mode.

Using special equipment, the protagonist discovers and documents not only yet-unknown creatures, but also remains of old civilizations. Gameplay of Iron Fish concentrates on exploring the captivating and atmospheric locations, like coral reefs and dark caves. Moreover, the player needs to avoid direct confrontations with ocean predators that pose a mortal danger to the heroine. The unusual scenery provides the feeling of isolation and helplessness. The title’s amazing visuals use the power of Unreal Engine 4.

A puzzle adventure game released on mobile devices, based on the license of a popular animated series aired on Fox. The game's story focuses on the rivalry between the Planet Express courier company with its longtime competitor, MomCorp, leading to Fry and his companions being forced to embark on a journey through different regions of the universe. Futurama: Game of Drones employs slightly modified mechanics of the popular casual match-3 (or, in this case, match-4) genre, and the player's task is to combine four drones working for the Planet Express in order to put the competing courier company in line. Although we are dealing here with a typical logic game, the developers of the title took care to include a well-developed narrative layer, created in cooperation with, among others, the screenwriter and producer of the original series, Patric Verrone, and Dave Grossman, the co-creator of the Monkey Island series and the iconic adventure game Day of the Tentacle.

A cyberpunk top-down shooter with roguelike elements, developed by 10tons - the creators of Crimsonland. The story of Neon Chrome takes place in the near future. The players assume the role of an augmented mercenary whose task is to kill the Overseer of a grand skyscraper that belongs to one of the world's most powerful corporations. Gameplay-wise, the developers drew inspiration from oldschool shooters. Our task boils down to eliminating subsequent hordes of enemies with all kinds of firearms. Moreover, the game’s environment is fully destructible. Before we start playing, we choose one of the three randomly generated characters which can be further augmented later on to increase their combat ability. As befits a roguelike production, every death is permanent and forces us to start from square one.

The third installment in the mobile survival-horror game series developed by Ukrainian studio AGaming+. The player assumes the role of a journalist who is hired to record an assault of Special Forces on a mental hospital where terrifying experiments take place. He reaches the destination late and finds the mutilated bodies of the soldiers and the corridors filled with mutants who used to be humans. His task is to survive and learn the dark truth about the hospital and the experiments that took place there. In Mental Hospital III the action is shown from first-person perspective and the controls are similar as in classic first-person shooters. However, the protagonist has no defensive capabilities, so he cannot fight the monsters and must sneak past them instead. In order to survive, one must learn the movement routes of the enemies, sneak up behind them and use the surroundings to hide from mutants.

The fight is distinguished by the use of billiard/pinball mechanics, and attacking the enemy consists in firing monsters in such a way that they also collide with the walls and allied monsters before the attack of the enemy, generating a number of additional bonuses.

A tactical action game with strategy and RPG elements, taking place in a science fiction universe. The game is a debut title of Jötunn Games – an Icelandic studio. The action of the game is placed in a distant future, where Earth had been annihilated, while the remnants of the mankind had divided into factions, warring throughout the depths of space. For our playthroughs, we assume the role of a young adventurer who, attempting to make a name for himself among other mercenaries, has a face to face meeting with a mysterious AI called Ceres. The gameplay, inspired by the classics, mixes many genres, from classic star strategy games, through action games, space simulators, and up to RPGs. The game is based mainly around combat and constant upgrading of the player’s fleet, through equipping ships and recruiting crew members. As a reward for completed missions, we receive experience, as well as access to new equipment and a number of new abilities.

A mobile side-scroll fighting game by Softmax. The production takes us to an post-apocalyptic future when the majority of the planet turned into a desert unable to sustain life. There are grand armored trains running between the remaining cities, and the action takes place in one of those vehicle. A dangerous gang of criminals took control of the train, and the player’s task is to eliminate the wrongdoers as well as their mysterious leader. TrainCrasher features a number of various characters to choose from, each having their own unique fighting style. The gameplay involves moving to the right side of the screen and eliminating enemies with different strikes, special techniques, and combos. The game is enriched by challenging boss fights and RPG elements in the form of a simple character development system as well as crafting mechanics that allow us to enhance our weapons and armor.

The player assumes the role of a student that attends the eponymous school for people who are able to foresee the future. The gameplay mechanics do not deviate from most mobile jRPGs – we mostly explore, undertake quests, and fight turn-based battles. Apart from school life simulation, which is the main story arc, and the genre-characteristic character progression system, the game's key element is the ability to predict future events. It influences both the gameplay and the outcomes of subsequent battles.

An extraordinary, story-driven adventure game with point-and-click interface, developed by Numinous Games and crowdfunded by fans via Kickstarter. The story of That Dragon, Cancer is based on true events from the life of Ryan and Amy Green – the game’s developers. It tells of a married couple whose child is dying with cancer with only a couple of months of life left. Gameplay itself does not require much skill from the player, and boils down to performing simple actions, such as playing with the child. The game aims to immerse the players into impression of having lived through the last months of a child’s life, letting them experience all sorts of situations, some of which give joy and hope, while others are very sad. That Dragon, Cancer is a form of tribute to the developers’ deceased child as well as all children who struggle with cancer.

A third-person action game by Pixel Hero Games (the developer of Spiral: Episode 1). The title focuses on Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn – one of the most iconic characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The plot is based on the first volume of the “Eisenhorn trilogy”, written by Dan Abnett, and depicts the initial period of the eponymous Inquisitor’s reign. Mechanically, Eisenhorn: XENOS resembles the Batman: Arkham and God of War series. The hero can use a wide variety of weapons – including both guns and a sword, which he uses most of the time. Combat consist of rhythmic attack combinations that are become increasingly stronger as long as you match the rhythm, which requires skills and good timing. Additionally, the protagonist can use tactical skills, such as temporary invisibility, psychic powers, and slow-motion inspired by the Fallout's V.A.T.S. system. In combat and when solving puzzles, Eisenhorn is accompanied by two other characters chosen by the player.

We also have to face all sorts of enemies and bosses using a large arsenal of weapons. As we progress, we gradually unlock enhancements for the protagonist. The game offers a retro visual style and a soundtrack composed by Matt Creamer.

You observe the game’s world from the eyes of the protagonist, while wearing a virtual reality headset. In line with the game’s plot, all interactions with the environment must be done by the hands of the stone minions. Initially, you can only create small golems, which can barely move around the room. In time, however, your power grows and the creatures you bring to life get bigger and stronger. Eventually, you can go out of the room and explore the world outside, most of which are ruins of a great city. While controlling golems you roam about the world, gather useful items, solve puzzles and fight with enemies.

A survival simulator that emphasizes multiplayer. It is the first major production by Bankroll, an Australian developer studio. The gameplay mechanics do not deviate from the majority of similar games, especially the bestselling Rust. The player character finds himself at a vast desert plain and his task is to survive in this hostile environment. The game focuses primarily on survival aspects and the most important thing is to ensure that the protagonist has his basic needs satisfied and protected from such hazards as hunger, thirst, fatigue, radiation, or changing weather conditions. From among other titles in the genre, Hurtworld is distinguished by a protection system that evens out the chances of beginners and seasoned players. Another noteworthy feature is the punishment system — should a character who has killed many rivals die, he loses more valuable equipment than the others.

The robot's main goal is to place the ball in a hole that is located far away. The entire action takes place on bizarre maps, such as a city center, the surface of the Moon or mountain peaks. Because the robots are gigantic, particular environmental objects are destructible, which allows for numerous crazy actions. The player can also hit the ball with a club of another robot standing in the "golf course" as well. Apart from the single-player campaign, the creators also included a multiplayer component. The players can compete against one another either online or in the split-screen mode.

A third-person perspective action game with platform genre features developed by Swedish studio Zoink Games as part of EA Originals, an initiative created in order to support independent developers. The game takes place in a mysterious realm inhabited by weird animals of which one the players control. The gameplay mechanics of the game combine solving riddles with classic platform-genre exploration. The game contains no dialogues; sounds emitted by the protagonist have the key role in communication – they can be used both for combat and for dealing with various obstacles like for example communicating with other creatures. Thanks to that protagonist can count on help of other inhabitants of the realm, including flying animals who can take the player to various inaccessible places. The key to success in Fe is to understand the way the whole ecosystem of the realm works and utilizing this knowledge for solving troubles.

The fifth DLC pack for Fallout 4 by Bethesda Softworks, another installment of one of the most famous RPG series in the world. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, slowly rebuilding after a devastating nuclear war. Fallout 4: Vault-Tec, similar to the previously released Workshop and Contraptions DLC packs, features new content for the more crafty players. The expansion focuses on the building of underground bunkers, called vaults in-universe. You can choose the shape, size and layout of the rooms, and furnish them as you like. When your vault is ready, you can invite NPCs to move in, and then protect them from bandit and mutant attacks, as well as care for their needs. In accordance with the spirit of the series, you can also experiment on your subordinates.

The last large DLC pack included in the season pass for the 2015 post-apocalyptic role-playing action game Fallout 4 by Bethesda. Nuka World does not introduce any major changes in the audiovisual layer or the mechanics, focusing on a new storyline and featuring a brand new location with an expansive main quest and many side quests. Nuka World is set in an old amusement park, built before the war by the producers of the most popular post-apocalyptic beverage, Nuka Cola. The place is, of course, filled with new enemies, equipment, and weapons.

Another major expansion to the multiplayer FPS by Bungie Software, published in autumn 2014. Destiny: Rise of Iron is the first expansion available exclusively for the 8th generation of consoles and it requires the previous extension, called The Taken King, to work. The plot revolves around a breach in the wall, located on the southern border of Old Russia, which let hordes of fallen mutants get into the Golden Age graves, filled with valuable artifacts. Along with Lord Saladin, players set off on a journey to stop the danger and reveal the truth about the of the Iron Lords. The DLC does not dramatically change mechanics and centers on a campaign featuring a number of main and side missions. Apart from new, uncharted locations, the game introduces a new enemy faction, additional weapons, armors, items, and two new mission types called Raid and Strike, as well as a PvP mode.

The game was developed by Polish Fuero Games, mostly known for The Witcher: Battle Arena. Lewandowski: Euro Star 2016 does not simulate whole matches, but concentrates on bouncing the ball in such a way, so that it stays in the air and does not touch the pitch. This is a free-to-play title in which finishing each level means earning points that can be spent on unlocking new gadgets like t-shirts, football boots, caps, hats, and new locations. With the progress, you learn new tricks that are helpful in earning various, useful bonuses which contribute to the final score. The game features Internet rankings, so you can compare your achievements with other players.

Developed by Marvelous AQL, another installment of the third-person perspective action games subseries of the Fate franchise, which after a longer break returns to gaming consoles. The action of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star takes place after events from Fate/EXTRA. As the previous war comes to an end, the supercomputer Moon Cell Automaton takes over the world and sends the players to a digital kingdom known as SE.RA.PH., where they have to fight one more battle for freedom. Mechanics slightly resemble productions from the Dynasty Warriors series. During gameplay you control one of 16 characters known as Servants – there are both some new and old characters. Each of the aforementioned figures possesses unique, great powers that you can use in combat with tens (or even hundreds) of enemies at the same time. In contrast to the other titles in the franchise, representing either jRPG or visual novel genres, this production features fast and spectacular action in the form of a hack-and-slash.

A post-apocalyptic exploration game created by a Polish studio – Sleepless Clinic. The game takes us to a world where Earth has been destroyed as a result of a nuclear war. Taking control of a crew of a spaceship, we traverse the uncharted areas of the galaxy in search of a new home for the human race. The game world is procedurally generated, so each journey can take a completely different course. In the course of subsequent missions, we discover new planets and stars, taking control of valuable resources and finds that improve our vessel, allowing us to systematically upgrade our ship and equip it with various modifications, such as better shields or weapons. The game is complemented by simple, two-dimensional visuals, created using pixel art.

An action game developed by Japanese studio Aquire. Gameplay mechanics of Akiba’s Beat are similar to the previous production of the developer – Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed. It combines RPG, beat’em up and visual novel features. The second installment of the series once again takes place in one of the most famous districts of Tokyo – Akihabara. The citizens of the district are caught in a time loop due to which they are endlessly repeating one day. The player assumes the role of young man named Asahi Tachibana. He travels through the streets and meets many NPCs with whom he can form a team. The team is needed during battles played on separate arenas. The battles are strongly inspired by the beat’em up genre – it is action based and very dynamic. Each character has unique style and equipment. What make the game even more interesting are various headsets which strengthen the attacks of the characters and give access to new combinations of attacks. Akiba’s Beat offers colorful, three-dimensional HD graphics.

F.R.A.G. is a free-to-play online FPS developed by Allods Team. Advertised as the so-called "anti-shooter", F.R.A.G is in fact a rather typical multiplayer fps. There are several types of soldiers the players can caontrol, each of them using a different type of weapon (i.e. powerful minigun, rocket launcher, or dual-wielded machine guns) and skills, like force field or a protective shield that provides cover from the incoming bullets. Gameplay is more or less arcade, but our victory depends on how good we cooperate with our team. Battles take place on diversified maps (snowy ones, deserts, etc.). All of them are multi-leveled and allow for tactical use of the environment. The game features mediocre, slightly cartoonish visuals.

Another annual installment belonging to a popular sports franchise developed by Electronic Arts and advertised with the name of the legendary American football player, trainer and commentator - John Madden. When it comes to the gameplay itself, the game makes a step forward on the line of the franchise's development, combining traditional and successful mechanics with a portion of new features, making the experience more enjoyable. In production of this installment, the creators were focused on expanding the Franchise career mode and making it better in general. In this mode, the player leads their team through subsequent seasons, taking responsibility for all the aspects related to how the team functions. Above all, it is worth mentioning that the game features new controls for the ball keeper, as well as improved AI of defensive formations. As usual, the game offers a complete set of licensed teams and detailed statistics describing particular players. Thanks to the special Madden 365 system, these statistics are updated on a regular basis during the season.

Another installment in a series of sports games regarding one of the most important cycling events in the world. It was developed by the Cyanide studio. Similar to the previous installments, the game was released in two different versions - one for PCs and the other for consoles. Pro Cycling Manager 2016 for PC is a typical manager game, which does not give direct control over bikers to the player. Rather, the player's task here is to lead their team to success through managing different aspects of running a cycling team. On the other hand, Tour de France 2016 for consoles is a typical arcade game that casts the player in the role of a single cyclist. Applying different tactics on the road, the player competes against others in order to win the yellow shirt of the leader. As usual, this installment uses all the necessary licenses - the player observes virtual representations of real cyclists and their teams, as well as faithfully recreated tracks. Apart from the titular Tour de France, the game offers a variety of other popular cycling events.

You see the in-game world from the point of view of a camera hovering high over the protagonist's head, and the gameplay consists of exploring, completing quests, gathering experience, and battling hordes of enemies. There are several playable characters to choose from, each using different weapons and abilities, as well as having their own skill tree. The game also features a simple crafting system. The story campaign can be played in either single-player or co-op mode. There's also an option of PvP battles, taking place on special arenas.

Eiichiro Oda's comic book offers a distinctively original atmosphere, which is unique among other Japanese comic books - the story is set in a pirate fantasy world. In terms of the plot, the game follows the manga, so being familiar with that comic book is not required to understand the scenario of the game. The story revolves around Luffy - a boy who wishes to become a pirate king and find the legendary treasure. After he accidentally acquires the power to stretch his body like rubber, which helps the protagonist achieve his dreams. The experience focuses on battling enemies, and Luffy can be accompanied by up to five team-members. Although combat is turn-based, the game features a significant portion of arcade elements - those require the player to go through simple QTEs and combine attacks into deadly combos. Character development and equipping one's team-members with new skills constitute another large part of the experience.

A racing game taking place in a futuristic world. The players control lightning-fast, cutting-edge vehicles. The title is the first multi-platform project from VD-dev, a seasoned French studio, known for games for Nintendo portable consoles. RISE: Race The Future employs a driving model inspired by the classic Sega Rally series, highly arcade in nature, and focuses on mastering drift techniques. Additional flavor is retained by the fact that the cars used in the races are equipped with a unique type of tires, which allows them to cross any surface (water, for example). Aside from the multiplayer mode, and a classic arcade mode, the game offers a story campaign for a single player, which takes us to a fictional world of futuristic racing, outlining the history, beginnings, and the purpose of organizing the races in which we participate.

RIDE 2 is a continuation to a motorcycle racing simulator developed by Milestone and released in 2015. The player takes part in subsequent, exciting competitions coming in several single and multiplayer modes. World Tour is the main mode here and the player competes against the AI in subsequent events (there are various kinds of them) organized all over the world. The game offers over 30 tracks falling into seven categories, as well as more than 200 bikes. As for the motorcycles included, they were carefully recreated thanks to all the required licenses the creators had obtained. Similar to the previous game, high level of realism was important for the creators when preparing the second installment as well. Thus even the smallest mistakes can result in a crash and the bikes are quite difficult to control. However, numerous optional assists can be enabled, making the gameplay easier. What's more, RIDE 2 offers an extensive bike customization system allowing the player to replace over 1200 parts in their machine.

An arcade racing game from Spanish studio EnjoyUp Games with classic top-down view. Though its focuses on Formula 1 racing car competition, its driving model is anything, but realistic, and fair play rules are rather lightly treated. We are given 10 different tracks from 10 countries, and the game is divided into racing seasons. Our vehicle’s parameters play major part in achieving victory, and they can be modified through tokens earned through racing. Due to that, we can forget about taking top positions during our first season, but as we upgrade our engine power, acceleration, brakes, tires and gearbox, we can progressively take higher places and finally compete for the top spots. Grand Prix Rock’N’Racing offers rather modest visuals and a rock’n’roll soundtrack.

A tongue-in-cheek action game with logic puzzle elements, developed by English studio Runestone Games, and a combination of five separate episodes, released under the same title for mobile platforms. In Mystery Castle you play as a wizard called Monty, who is tasked with protecting the eponymous five castles from the forces of evil. Every stage of the game features slightly different objectives and fulfilling them gains you crystals, which are used to proceed to the next stage. To gather them, you have to solve logic puzzles in which you have to use the elements of the environment, the spells you know, and your equipment, which includes e.g. a magic lamp that helps you find hidden passages, or special potions that can change you into various animals with unique abilities. At the end of every stage there is a boss, and to defeat them you have to make a clever use of the elements you have encountered in the previous locations.

The action of Filthy Lucre takes place in a slightly exaggerated version of contemporary London. In the game, you assume the role of a thug who works for one of the criminal underworld’s bosses. When he is robbed of almost all of his savings, your job is to get them back. During gameplay you will embark on various missions, like bank robberies, acts of sabotage on the rivals’ businesses, and attacks on headquarters of enemy gangs. Most of the missions can be finished in two ways – you can either keep a low profile, or engage in open combat. The game features more than 30 types of weapons and an advanced AI which adjusts to your playing style.

A co-op-oriented TPP role-playing action game by FireForge Games, based on the popular movie series of the same name. Although the game's release coincides with the release of another movie in the franchise, their plots are not directly connected, and players become a beginner ghost hunters, whose task is to clean Manhattan of various wraiths and other spectral nuisances. The game is focused on completing a series of story quests, which consist mainly of fighting the ghosts haunting Manhattan – from common poltergeists to powerful bosses, which you can only defeat by maintaining good cooperation between the members of your team. Every member has a unique personality and fighting style. The characters can also level up, and the game features the weapons known from the movies, including the iconic proton pack.

After recruiting the soccer players, you have to lead them through training sessions, which helps them develop their abilities and level up. The next step is planning out the strategies for the matches, which you can see thanks to a realistic 3D engine. Despite the low-budget feel and a typical free-to-play model, the game boasts official licenses by five leading European leagues, which means it includes real teams and team members of the 2015-2016 season.

Controversial city builder game, showing the absurd and cruelty of communism in Russia. The game was developed by Polish studio Chicken in the Corn, the developers of a dark adventure game 1heart. In Soviet City, we assume the role of a Soviet mayor, whose task is to develop the town, and sustain the strong-arm regime. This task requires not only the construction of buildings and necessary infrastructure. The important aspect is a skillful use of various methods to influence the citizens – including terror – in order to fulfill the system's objectives, but avoid stirring a rebellion. Therefore, in order for the city to properly function, one has to not only manage efficiently, but also exercise constant control over the citizens, even resorting to ruthless intimidation. Soviet City is single player-only game, designed with short sessions in mind, each of them offering randomly generated town with different starting conditions and various goals to achieve. The grim flavor of the gameplay is emphasized by dark and tawny colors, and a climatic soundtrack.

The player's task is to safely get the character across a street or a river. It is not easy however, for the streets are swarming with speeding vehicles and trains, as well as other obstacles. The controls are simplistic, requiring the player to jump forward and turn left or right only. The game features infinite, randomly generated tracks. The playthrough ends when the player makes a mistake. Starting each new game is all about making more progress than previously - the player competes against other player's high scores as well. What differentiates the game from its predecessor is the roster, including such Disney and Pixar characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mufasa or Buzz Astral. Additional characters can be unlocked using coins collected while playing or by spending real money through microtransactions.
