The sixth expansion for Crusader Kings II, a 2012’s grand strategy game by Paradox Interactive. Just like the title suggests, Crusader Kings II: Rajas of India expands the map with India and Eastern Persia and thus offers twice as big a game map as the one in the vanilla game. The add-on introduces hundreds of new provinces in Central Asia, and the playable area also includes a part of Siberia. The main highlight is the option to assume the role of an Indian raja. We start the campaign somewhere between 1066 and 1337 (or as early as 867, should we also have Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods). Starting out as an Indian raja, we have to choose between three religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. Each of these offers a different set of benefits and duties which influences the course of the gameplay. Moreover, numerous new game elements were implemented, such as jungles, elephants, and a caste system - something vastly different from European feudalism. The title also comes with new online options via Steam.

A first-person sci-fi role-playing game featuring elements of cyberpunk. StarCrawlers, a title that pays tribute to the classics of dungeon crawlers, was developed by Juggernaut Games. The player assumes the role of the leader of a group of scavengers exploring space stations and fighting hostile machines. Their main goal is to infiltrate a huge spaceship which was originally traveling to an unknown planet in order to colonize it. The gameplay mechanics were based on the classics of the genre - the action is viewed through the eyes of individual characters, who cannot rotate beyond 90 degrees at a time. The player explores procedurally generated locations, collects items, avoids traps and fights enemies in a typical, turn-based combat system. The team consists of four members, whose different skills have to be developed in such a way that they complement each other, for this is the key to success.

The players are divided into two teams and having assumed control of colorful round-shaped creatures, they try to eliminate the opponents. Each of the creatures has both its strong and weak points. An enemy can be taken out by ramming or pushing them off the arena, as well as simply shooting them down. One of the key gameplay elements included here is the weight of the player-controlled creatures - one's weight gets reduced when shooting, but they can replenish it by eating objects placed on the arena, or even fallen enemies. Combat is based largely on the in-game physics. Duels are fast-paced in Deformers and on the whole, the game surprises with its colorful, crazy art style and the large portion of humor it offers.

An extensive remake of Wild Guns, a classical action game that was initially released in 1994 for SNES. It was developed by Natsume in cooperation with the creators of the original. The game’s plot combines elements of western with science fiction and cyberpunk and tells the story of two protagonists: a girl named Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, helping her. Mechanics-wise, it is a combination of arcade rail shooter and a third-person action game. While playing, we control the heroes by running, jumping, rolling, and so on, and try to aim at enemies in the back of the level. In Wild Guns: Reloaded, the classic gameplay formula was slightly polished. Apart from new arenas, opponents, and weapons, we have four (instead of two) characters at our disposal, each having their unique armaments. Furthermore, we can play in a co-op mode for the maximum of four players.

Similar to the previous game, high level of realism was important for the creators when preparing the second installment as well. Thus even the smallest mistakes can result in a crash and the bikes are quite difficult to control. However, numerous optional assists can be enabled, making the gameplay easier. The game is a typical representative of the genre, thus the player explores an open world, completes quests, gathers items, develops the character and fights enemies. A mobile free-to-play racing game with optional micropayments. It was developed by a not well known studio called Infinity Vector. In the title, we assume the role of a professional driver and take part in races in which the goal is to get to the finish or complete a given number of laps as fast as possible. It is not an ordinary arcade production, though, for the developers have made efforts to make the driving model as realistic as possible while still being accessible. Various available cars (including Honda NSX Type S Zero, NSX-R, Mitsubishi Eclipse and 3000 GT or Nissan Silvia Spec.R) handle differently, which is provided by an advanced physics engine. On the other hand, you can't call Assoluto Racing a full-fledged simulator either. The game features very pretty and detailed graphics for a mobile production. While playing, we can adjust the camera to our liking, including placing it behind the car or from above the bumper.

An episodic adventure game with music game features, developed by Among Giants. Distortions tells the story of a woman who wakes up in a hospital bed in an unknown location after an accident. She notices that the time had stopped and all objects become alive only if she touches them. While traveling through the surrealistic realm with a giant, chained creature on the horizon, the protagonist is trying to discover how she got to this weird place and how to get back to the real world. The action is shown from a third-person perspective, but the game also contains 2D sequences. During the adventure the player faces logical challenges as well as arcade ones in which a magic violin is of key importance – the item enables the player to shape reality surrounding the character. Using the instrument was implemented in a way similar to classic music games like Guitar Hero and it requires pressing specific keys to the rhythm of the melodies coming from the speakers.

RPG, Fantasy, Internet, MMO, MMORPG, PvE, PvP, Action RPG, Online, TPP, Free-to-play.

An epic fantasy MMORPG developed by WeMade Entertainment with Nexon. The game’s plot is not an original one, and tells the story of a group of warriors fighting against an ancient evil that grew stronger having spent long years in slumber, and now threatens the entire world. The title doesn’t deviate from typical features of the genre, and the fun boils down mainly to exploration and performing quests that involve fighting various opponents. The biggest highlight of Riders of Icarus is the possibility of taming and riding many mythical beasts of different abilities. With time, the animal not only becomes our devoted friend but also a real killing machine that, depending on its unique traits, can fight alongside us or be our mount (a land or a flying one). This introduces a rather rare element of aerial combat to the genre. It is also an important part of an extensive combo-based combat system.

A first-person action game with open world, set in a science fiction reality. The Signal From Tölva was developed by the independent developer Big Robot studio, the creators of the humorous Sir, You Are Being Hunted. This time, the player assumes the role of a hacker and takes control of robots that decided to explore an alien planet on their own. In this way, we have to investigate the source of a mysterious signal emitted from beneath the planet’s surface. While conducting the search in the vast, open world, we will often have to clash with hostile factions with the use of a rich arsenal of futuristic weapons and gadgets, including a plasma shield, shockwaves, and so on. Should the robot we control be destroyed, we can hack into another one’s computer and continue playing. Graphics-wise, The Signal From Tölva presents a significantly higher quality than Sir, You Are Being Hunted. The game world combines an original comic style with landscapes characteristic of the science fiction genre.

A mobile strategy game and a debut production of the Japanese studio BlazeGames. Akihiko Yoshida, art director of such hits as Final Fantasy Tactics or Bravely Default, was involved in its development. Battle Champs bears a resemblance to the famous Clash of Clans — the player’s task is to gather resources, build a settlement, and then defend it from other participants’ attacks. Apart from regular combat units, giants play an important role in Battle Champs. The story campaign is divided into a number of various missions where we learn the rules of the game — from the basics to advanced strategies. Apart from that, the game features a multiplayer mode that lets players form groups to fight giants, perform joint missions as quickly as possible in Time Trial, or assault other people’s bases. Battle Champs features a typically Japanese visuals style, although the developers made sure it offered high-quality animations and interesting details.

A strategy role-playing game set in the early Middle Ages, and the first production by Sunburned Games. The game takes place in the 7th century Europe, and there is a large focus on historical accuracy and the plot, divided into campaign for each of the playable nations (e.g. the Danish, the Franks, the Picts and the Anglo-Saxons). Independently of the chosen nation, you play as a chief of a small clan, whose duty is to care for their home village and to lead their warriors during the battles with enemies. The gameplay revolves around two seasons. While you spend winter mostly in the village, planning and managing your people and resources, in summer you sail out, usually to raid others. While the exploring part takes place in real time, the combat is turn based and features card game elements.

A two-dimensional action RPG modeled after a cooperative fighting game from arcade machines. The action of Dungeon Punks takes place in a fantasy world where humans lead contemporary-style lives, but the role of technology was taken over by omnipresent magic. The protagonists are couriers who accidentally discover the dark secrets of the RezCorp insurance company who resurrect their clients in case of death. This fact draws a lot of problems, mainly in the form of foes who are armed to the teeth. The gameplay itself works similarly to classic beat ‘em up productions. We can play either solo or in cooperation mode for two other players. While playing, we alternately control two different characters that possess different set of spells, special abilities, and team attacks. We can also use mounts, various power-ups, spell scrolls, and healing potions.

Developed by Tarsier Studios, Statik is a logic puzzle game, which utilizes functionalities offered by PlayStation VR. The game takes players to a mysterious laboratory in which scientists conduct secret experiments to discover the full potential of the human brain. The story begins when the main protagonist wakes up in a hospital bed with his hands trapped in a small device; without seeing his fingers, one cannot say what is inside the electronic box, which perfectly represents how the player feels – with the PlayStation VR headgear on, he cannot see his hands either. All the puzzles in the game build on an interesting mechanic – since a puzzle solution is a mystery, no one knows which button on the controller to press at a given moment. These puzzles are based on player’s intuition and perceptivity, as well as the ability to manipulate the elements of the environment. The pattern of subsequent solutions reflects the process of the player familiarizing themselves with the construction of subsequent devices, which changes with each new puzzle. In the game, the player is accompanied by a doctor, who follows our actions and comments on them, often in a humorous way.
