An interactive first-person experience in which the player can observe the living depths of the ocean by using virtual reality goggles. theBlu was developed by Wevr, Inc.; The title offers three different experiences in which the role of the player is limited to observing what is happening on the screen. In Whale Encounter the users find themselves in a sunken shipwreck, from where they can observe a giant whale. Reef Migration presents the underwater journey of sea turtles. Luminous Abyss shows the creatures that live at the bottom of the oceans – medusas that glow in the darkness and strange predatory fish. During the game the player can slow down time in order to take a closer look at the surroundings. They can also use a flashlight, which is useful when exploring the bottom of the sea. Due to the character of the game, the visuals and sounds are its most important aspect – theBlu offers almost photorealistic graphics: detailed fauna and flora and realistic water. During the game the player can hear authentic background sounds accompanied by ambient music.

A dynamic, side-scrolling shooter created by Pyramid studio. Planet Darius has been invaded by Belsers – an alien army that entrenched itself in the oceans and seas of the whole world. To combat the threat, the planet's inhabitants have prepared a new lethal weapon, the so called Burst System. The gameplay of DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies – aside from normal cannon fodder, the enemy ranks are sometimes reinforced by tough bosses. Every level contains various power-ups that increase the firepower of one of the nine available fighters, and influence the attained score. Additionally, a number of varied weapons has been left at our disposal, from rocket launchers through laser cannons and up to energy wave generators. Using the trademark Burst System, which has a lot more stopping power, is limited by a special gauge, filled as we take on subsequent enemies. The game, divided into chapters, contains the entire contents present in DARIUSBURST: Another Chronicle, supplemented by new additions in form of new modes, missions, and vehicles. Among the game modes we can find the story campaign, as well as a set of challenges, and the Chronicle Mode. The latter is a set of 3000 levels unlocked by the players all around the world.

A city builder strategy game with shooter elements, developed for Android and iOS devices. It was developed by On5, the creators of, among other titles, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, in cooperation with Atari. The mobile Lunar Battle is a modern interpretation of an Atari’s game of the same title that was released for arcade machines in 1982. This time around, it is an interesting combination of a strategy production and a shooter. The player’s task is to build a human colony in space and defend it from alien invaders. To do so, we gather resources, erect new buildings, and satisfy the population’s needs, controlling our budget in the process. A large amount of our funds has to be spent on armaments, including weapons for workers and spaceships. The latter we can control directly. In combat against aliens, the gameplay resembles classical shooters from arcade machines in which we control a ship and shoot incoming enemies. It is also possible to fight PvP battles on special arenas.

A portable version of the awarded level editor that allows the players to create custom levels for the games from the Super Mario Bros. series. Similarly as in the original title, published by Nintendo in 2015, the gameplay consists of creating two-dimensional platform game levels. The title is very simple and intuitive, and this edition was enriched with touch screen support. Super Mario Maker 3DS, similarly as its predecessor, enables the player to quickly test created levels in order to easily add required improvements. However, unfinished work can be shared with other players only locally. Each feature of the game was adapted to two graphics styles – the original one that references the 8-bit Super Mario Bros and the style of Super Mario Bros. U. The game also supports amiibo figurines thanks to which the player can unlock new skins for the protagonist.

Another title from an independent studio – Outerminds, released under PewDiePie brand – an incredibly popular youtuber involved with the video game industry. The player assumes the role of an author, creating movies intended for the YouTube platform. The gameplay is similar to classic economical strategies – we begin the game in a small, seedy room, investing the earned money into better apartments and professional equipment. This influences not only on the quality of our videos, but also the number of our viewers and the amount of money we make. The Sims influences can be found when we take care of the daily activities undertaken by our hero, as well as his personal growth. The action in PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator is presented from an isometric perspective, while the visuals are heavily influenced by pixel art style. The whole game is complemented by specific humor, characteristic for PewDiePie videos.

In terms of the mechanics, this iteration does not bring any revolutionary features and remains similar to its predecessors in many aspects. Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore is first and foremost a third-person space shooter taking the player to the Neox sector - where they become a bounty hunter and their role is to complete subsequent assignments for adequate rewards. The game is typically arcade and requires the player mainly to control their ship, though using different weapons and defensive gadgets in combat is also essential. The gameplay formula focuses on providing the player with a lot of freedom, apart from the game world as such. As a result, the player is capable of applying different methods of achieving their goals and complete various side missions.

Adventure, Indie Games, Science Fiction, Singleplayer, Isometric View, Free-to-play.
A completely free, standalone expansion for Stasis – a dark science-fiction adventure game released in 2015. The plot of Cayne references the base game in a number of ways, but without spoiling it, so players new to the series can also experience the title in full. Story introduces a pregnant woman named Hadle, who wakes up in an obscure medical facility, where unknown men want to take her baby away. As can easily be imagined, the player’s objective is to make sure that this doesn’t happen. The gameplay is exactly the same as in Stasis, so we are looking at a classic adventure game, seen from an isometric view. During the campaign, designed to last for roughly 1.5 hour, we are mainly occupied with exploration of new locations and searching for items, which are necessary to solve the problems turning up along the way. From the audio-visual side, the game relies on the same, albeit beefed up, visuals. Nonetheless, Cayne has a completely new soundtrack, composed by Ivo Sadiski.

A spin-off of the popular space MMORPG – EVE Online, created by the same studio: CCP Games. EVE: Gunjack is a title developed with virtual reality sets in mind. The game sees us man a powerful cannon, defending an oil platform against the enemies trying to destroy it. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a classic rail shooter – we are unable to control the movements of our character, the player can only look around. Therefore, our role is reduced to firing at numerous enemies and gathering various pick-ups that increase the stopping power of our weapons, durability of the cover, and give us access to new weapons. Eliminating enemies nets us points, while linking the kills into spectacular combinations results in increasing the current point multiplier. The only game mode available is the single player campaign, divided into missions. Our scores can be placed in the internet ranking. Unreal Engine 4 is responsible for generating visuals in EVE: Gunjack, with their quality similar to EVE: Valkyrie.

An unusual production by Pawel Mogila from Mogila Games. The title features elements characteristic for logic, action, platform, and even stealth games. You assume the role of Samson who, as the title outright states, is clinically dead. This means that for him, the time has stopped – due to that, he can contemplate his whole life. This translates into traveling through surreal places, which symbolize the hero’s mind, and talking with his own subconsciousness. In Clinically Dead, the action is presented from the first-person perspective. Logic puzzles are the backbone of the game – you need to manipulate time, represented by multi-colored stains on the environment elements. Your job is to maneuver these objects so that they adjust correctly at the right moment, which unlocks another location. Moreover, the hero also jumps on the platforms, faces opponents (using melee weapons or magic bullets), or sneaks behind their backs. This is a non-linear title featuring locations connected by multiple paths.

It shows how much the modern world depends on electricity. When an accident in the power plant causes the whole city to run out of electricity, the player assumes the role of the last “living” spark and is tasked with restoring the power and allowing the inhabitants of the city to function normally. The gameplay mechanics in TurnOn are similar as in typical platformer games. The difference lies in the fact that instead between the platforms, the player must jump between electric wires. By jumping from one wire to another, the player tries to restore the power to houses, shops, and various electric devices. The devices are connected to each other with a tightly tangled network of connections. Because of that, in addition to having high agility, the game also forces the player to think. The game contains bonus levels as well. During them the player must move through the electric wires according to the tune of the background music.

A fantasy action RPG developed by Polish studio Artifex Mundi. The game, developed for mobile platforms, uses free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. Bladebound presents a grim vision of a fantasy world that was conquered by evil armies. Similarly as in classic hack’n’slash games, the action is shown from a top-down perspective and the player most of the time explores the world and participates in dynamic combat with monsters. Bladebound employs touch-based controls in which one must draw lines on the screen with his finger. These lines create powerful attacks and spells. The game also contains a character progression system and the possibility to obtain better equipment and weapon. The crafting system allows the player to create his own weapons.

RPG, Roguelike, Singleplayer, Tactics, Free-to-play.
A roguelike RPG created by Avalon Games, a developer popular for the mobile arcade game Crazy Fingers. The Greedy Cave is free-to-play with optional microtransactions. The player assumes the role of a daredevil entering the kingdom of Iblis in order to explore the legendary complex of dungeons and caves, allegedly filled with priceless treasures. The protagonist encounters difficulties embodied by hostile creatures and ruthless looters, and the player has to deal with them. Dungeons are procedurally generated, thus they are always shaped differently. As the player progresses through the game, the protagonist gains experience, obtains better equipment, and learns new skills. The two-dimensional graphics of the game resemble Don't Starve in terms of their stylistics. The specific atmosphere of the game has its source in subdued colors and exaggerated characters - especially the various kinds of monsters.

Arcade, Auto-runner, Experimental/artistic, FPP, Indie Games, Polish, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.
A surrealistic arcade game from the Polish Evil Indie Games studio, set in an alternate version of the year 1994. It shows a grim, retrofuturistic vision of future, as imagined in the 70’s. In the age of a totalitarian regime that tries to break all opposition, we play as an ordinary clerk, who is given the task of delivering a message to someone known as the Ice Queen. Gameplay-wise, No Thing is a rather classic arcade game from the endless runner genre, where we observe world from the perspective of our hero, who automatically runs through narrow, floating paths. We must turn at correct moments to remain on the track and avoid colliding with obstacles. Game offers a campaign (with a very twisted plot) mode or an endless mode, the latter with a never-ending path and us trying to go as far as possible.

Strategy, World War II, RTS, Singleplayer, War Strategy, Tactics, Turn-based.
A tactical combat simulation set during WWII. The game was developed by Graviteam, which has already produced several similar productions. This time the player leads the German or the Russian army in the battles taking place near the eponymous Mius river during 1943. The game offers two large-scale military operations, the course of which is influenced by the decisions made by the player and the game's advanced AI. Gameplay of Graviteam Tactics Mius-Front consists of two modes - in the turn-based mode you can relocate your army, take care of supplies, and replace lost units; in the tactical, real-time mode you lead the army during battles. The creators ensured that the game includes truthful recreation of authentic terrain and realistic performance of tanks and other vehicles. The creators also developed an advanced ballistic system that recognizes such factors as wind direction and temperature.

Mechanics are similar to those in the previous installments. The player travels through platform levels, uncovers secrets, and fights enemies – Kirby swallows them, which allows him to gain their special skills. The most important novelty are the mechanical armors – they enable him to overcome otherwise impassable obstacles. Kirby: Planet Robobot offers a single player campaign and the co-operation mode named Kirby Clash, in which three players face powerful bosses. From the technological point of view, it is a 2.5D platformer in which you can go deep into levels.

Action, Internet, MOBA, Multiplayer, Splitscreen, Post-apocalypse, Cars, Singleplayer.
A representative of the MOBA genre, created by Phantom Compass - an independent developer. Among other MOBA titles, the game stands out both with its single player story campaign and an artistically original game world. The players are taken to post-apocalyptic United States ruled by motorized gangs. Assuming the role of such a group's member, the player gains access to an extensive system of car modifications, allowing them to work on the chassis, body, armor or weaponry of their vehicle. The multiplayer component is the core of the game, and this is based on two teams fighting one another to destroy the enemy's base. Apart from that, the game features a traditional PvP mode; significantly, duels can be played both online and in the split-screen mode. The in-game story campaign is an interesting component - the player gets acquainted with a conflict between two gangs ruled by Valentina Vega and a person known as Dark Jaw. The game makes references to science-fiction movies from the 1980s, which is intensified by simplistic, cartoonish visuals representing retro-futuristic art style.

Action, Fantasy, Indie Games, Ninja, Action Adventure, PS Plus Extra, PS Plus Premium, Singleplayer, Stealth, TPP.
A representative of the third-person stealth game genre, created by the independent studio of Lince Works. The main character of the production is the titular Aragami - an assassin who has risen from the dead and has been endowed with supernatural abilities. The mysterious Yamiko is responsible for his resurrection and she desperately needs his aid to escape from the closely guarded fortress. Gameplay mechanics revolve around the characteristic patterns of similar productions, such as Tenchu or Dishonored. Zones visited during the various missions have an open-world character, which, combined with an extensive range of skills, allows the hero to perform tasks in many different ways. In Aragami we have to sneak in the shadows, teleport to selected locations, dispose of the bodies of murdered opponents, and even create clones of the protagonist. However, the hero clearly wasn't meant for direct confrontations and a group of opponents are able to take his life without much of a problem. The cartoonish visuals, which draw inspiration from the East Asian culture, are also a very distinctive feature.
