The first expansion pack to the 1999 MMORPG EverQuest. Similarly as in the case of the basic version of the game, the expansion was developed by Daybreak Game Company. The add-on takes the player on a journey to a completely new continent – the titular Kunark which consists of more than 20 new locations. The developers made the expansion friendly for new players who can create their character by using a new race – lizard-like Iksar. More experienced adventure seekers can visit special locations like a dragon lair where they can develop their characters even to 50th experience level. In addition to that, new ship types enable the players to comfortably travel through the sea. It is possible to use dozens of new items, spells and abilities against the opponents. The developers improved the graphics as well – the textures are of higher resolution and models were designed by using more polygons.
