The mini campaign in The Lost Artifact is composed of several levels and its plot revolves around the search for a mysterious treasure hidden in the catacombs under Willard castle in Scottish Loch Ness. Lara Croft believes that this is the legendary Hand of Rathmore, the fifth artifact necessary for the release of enigmatic powers laying dormant in an ancient meteorite. On her way, Lara meets e.g. prehistoric and dangerous monsters which she fights with her iconic pistols. Traditionally, the game centers around traveling through 3D levels, solving environmental puzzles, and looking for valuable items.
