A TPP action game set in a world inspired by Norse mythology. It was developed by Creative Assembly, the creators of the bestselling strategy game series, Total War. The player assumes the role of Skarin, a young warrior chosen by the gods of Asgard to protect the human realm, Midgard, against the undead, who were brought back to life by the goddess Hel, mistress of the underworld. She aims to destroy all the other gods and bring about the end of the world - the mythical Ragnarok. The game offers an exceptionally large world, which can be freely explored by completing various missions given by NPCs. The main part of the game are arcade fighting sequences. The combat system is very spectacular, and the player can choose from a wide variety of melee weapons, but they also have access to destructive combos and mystical powers granted by the currently equipped sword. The player can be accompanied by NPCs in combat, and they can be given simple orders.

The sixth major installment of the cult RPG series. Might and Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven tells a completely new story that fills the plot hole between the second and third installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic series. The action takes us to the fantastical land of Enroth which was plunged into chaos after king Roland Ironfist had disappeared and the apocalypse worshippers decided to overthrow prince Nicolai to put their leader on the throne. The eponymous Mandate of Heaven can only be reclaimed by the player-controlled party of four heroes — this time, they are all human and represent character classes typical of the universe. The novelty in the series is the possibility of choosing between turn-based and real-time combat mode. In technical terms, the production is a great step forward in history of the series since it features seasons, a day-and-night cycle, and fully three-dimensional graphics that let us rotate the view by 360 degrees as well as look up and down.

The general premise of the game hasn’t changed - the player is still tasked with controlling a small village and transforming it into a modern, well-fortified metropolis. The key to success is creating an efficient production chain that will guarantee a steady flow of resources, food etc. It is also required to create a strong army that will provide protection from potential invaders. Among the new features there are new characters whose special abilities provide bonuses during the game. It is worth noting that there are no geologists anymore and the player no longer needs to create paths – now they are generated automatically.

The player assumes the role of Richard Marcinko, a famous Navy SEALs veteran, voiced by Mickey Rourke, an actor known from Sin City. The protagonist is sent to North Korea with a secret mission. Due to the nature of his task, the hero should try his best to keep low profile and eliminate enemies quietly. Such kills are shown as brutal finishers. In situations when stealth tactics are no longer valid the game turns into a classic FPP shooter with a cover system similar to Gears of War. Missions are usually set in military compounds and factories, so there is a lot of close-quarter combat. The main game mode in Rogue Warrior is story-based single player campaign, which consists of a string of linear missions. Apart from that, the developers also prepared competitive multiplayer.

This installment of the Jedi Knight video game series has been developed by Raven Software. The action of the game takes place 6 years after the events shown in the previous Jedi Knight game. The player gets the opportunity to become a student at the Jedi Academy led by Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn on Yavin IV. What is interesting, upon starting the game the player has to create his or her own character by choosing the race, sex, clothing and physical appearance. It is also up to the player to construct his or her own lightsaber, which immediately becomes the character’s primary weapon. This however, does not eliminate the opportunity to utilize in combat elements of more conventional arsenal, like blaster pistols and rifles. Despite the fact that the missions’ objectives do not deviate so much from the previous Jedi Knight installments, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy distinguishes itself from its predecessors through a non-linear campaign (player can complete missions at any order). On our adventure, we get to visit places like Tatooine or Hoth, and, simultaneously, acquire and develop numerous skills representing the light or the dark side of the Force. The path the player chooses not only does affect the last few quests, but it also has a significant impact on the ending of the game.

An action-adventure game with RPG features. It is based on Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Except for the title and the presence of some common motives (most of all the Black Pearl ship), the game has little in common with the movie. It was at first developed as sequel to Sea Dogs, another similar game created by studio Akella, but the popularity of the movie caused the change of the title. In the game the player assumes the role of an independent ship captain who is caught in the middle of a conflict between 17th century sea empires: England and France. The protagonist must gather a crew and complete a series of mission for the selected empire. As time passes, the protagonist gathers experience, becomes a better captain and warrior. Sea battles, including artillery combat, boarding, and sword fighting are an important part of the game.
