The fourth installment in the humorous series of economic strategy games in which we assume the role of a ruthless dictator of a small banana republic. After the previous developer (responsible for the first installment from 2001) was taken over by THQ, the series was given to Haemimont Games. The main highlight of the gameplay is taking care of the country’s budget, which is fed by resource mining and production of various goods. The citizens’ happiness is also an important aspect. We take care of them through creating various public utility buildings. To get the political chaos under control, we can use military, bribes, intimidation, or even public executions. If brutal methods don’t serve their purpose anymore, we can attempt to talk with the opposition, and in case of a natural disaster, The Red Cross will heed our call. In the fourth installment of the game, we are introduced to a new set of special buildings and a system of trading with neighboring countries.

An action RPG developed by the creators of the Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights series. Initially, it was released solely for Xbox, then its expanded edition came out for the popular PC platform. The story of Jade Empire takes place in a fantasy world based on Chinese mythology. In the game, we assume the role of one of six characters — all of them students of a famous martial arts teacher called Master Li — that have to hone their skills under the supervision of their mentor in order to become true legends. The story is non-linear and is distinguished by the mechanism of making constant choices between good and evil, therefore each interaction with the environment, each conversation with an NPC, and even a fight influences the further plot progress and our character’s development path. The game offers fully 3D graphics with third-person perspective view and a real-time combat system that requires combining individual strikes into complex sequences.

An online FPS which is a spiritual successor to the 2002’s Command & Conquer: Renegade. The game was developed by Totem Arts, a studio established by the fans of the series, and its action is set in the popular C&C universe. The title offers a short single player campaign, but it focuses primarily on multiplayer competition. In the production, we side with one of two available factions: a military anti-terrorist organization known as the GDI or the paramilitary sect called the Brotherhood of Nod. Each side employs different units, structures, and tactics. The developers tried to combine typical features of an online shooter with elements of real-time strategy game, thanks to which the battlefields are vast and each team has access to various weapons and vehicles. The production started out as an Unreal Tournament III modification, but with time it evolved into a standalone title.

The primary novelty is the possibility of interacting with other players who can turn out to be either precious friends or deadly foes. Homeworld Remastered Collection is a remastered edition of the space strategy that wast first developed in 1999 by Relic Entertainment. The game was rejuvenated by Gearbox Software, studio known for the game series Borderlands and Brothers in Arms. We follow the history of Kushan, a forgotten race that was attacked by an alien civilization and almost entirely wiped out. However, over six hundred thousand of Kushans survived in the hypersleep chambers of a gigantic Mothership. They decided to rebuild their civilization and face the old enemy. In terms of mechanics, Homeworld Remastered Collection is a classic real-time strategy game that takes place in 3D rendered space. In the new version of the game, visuals were significantly improved (now the game uses HD textures). Cutscenes were also redrawn. Multiplayer mode was improved, and the game's OST was remastered under the watchful eye of its composer.

A two-dimensional retro action platform game inspired by typical cRPGs and the cult PS2 title Shadow of the Colossus. Titan Souls was developed by the independent, three-person studio Acid Nerve and it is an expanded, commercial version of the application created during the Ludum Dare competition. The game takes place in ancient ruins in which, according to a legend, the souls of titans were placed. These souls are the source of all life, but they were shattered into many pieces and access to each of them is protected by a legendary golem. As a young warrior, the player will face the golems, each of which is challenging in a different way. The monsters have their strong and weak points and learning about them is the key to victory in the duels. The fact that the protagonist is equipped with a bow with only one arrow makes things even more complicated – in order to attack the opponent again, one must first pick up priceless projectile.

A visual novel adventure game developed by studio 5pg. The game is an improved version of the independent game created by Makoto Kedouin and originally released in 1996. Corpse Party takes place in a high school building that was built on the ruins of an old grade school in which a terrible and mysterious crime has occurred. One day, due to unexplainable events, a group of students enters a terrible and grotesque version of their school in which the corridors are filled with decomposing corpses. Trapped in the building, the main characters must face the mysteries of the building and the revenge-seeking ghosts of the dead children. The game uses typical gameplay mechanics of visual novel games, although it also contains exploration and even action sequences. The story has several different endings that depend on the choices made by the player.
