Another installment in a series of sports games regarding one of the most important cycling events in the world. It was developed by the Cyanide studio. Similar to the previous installments, the game was released in two different versions - one for PCs and the other for consoles. Pro Cycling Manager 2016 for PC is a typical manager game, which does not give direct control over bikers to the player. Rather, the player's task here is to lead their team to success through managing different aspects of running a cycling team. On the other hand, Tour de France 2016 for consoles is a typical arcade game that casts the player in the role of a single cyclist. Applying different tactics on the road, the player competes against others in order to win the yellow shirt of the leader. As usual, this installment uses all the necessary licenses - the player observes virtual representations of real cyclists and their teams, as well as faithfully recreated tracks. Apart from the titular Tour de France, the game offers a variety of other popular cycling events.

On PC, the title is a cycling management game in which the player doesn’t have direct control over the cyclists – our task is to form the best possible team that consists of training staff and sportsmen recruited by, for example, talent hunters. One of the keys to success is to adopt the right tactic for subsequent races. In the console version of Pro Cycling Manager, the players assume the role of a chosen cyclist who belongs to one of 22 official clubs. Our goal is, of course, achieve as many successes as possible which is no small task since we have to face other world-famous teams. Compared to their predecessors, both versions of the game boast improved artificial intelligence and physics. Moreover, apart from an extensive career mode, they offer multiplayer modules that allow us to compete against and cooperate with other players from all over the world.

The action is observed from a side view, and our task is to complete subsequent bike trails of increasingly higher difficulty level, filled with various jumping hills, ramps and terrain obstacles, while performing spectacular stunts and chaining them into highly-scored combinations. In total, we have to tackle over 500 challenges that test our skills. Moreover, the eponymous BMXs come in several modifiable variants. The contestants’ appearance can be customized, too. Pumped BMX + features colorful cartoonish graphics.
