A remake of the 1994's System Shock. The original game was developed by Looking Glass Studios and is considered a classic of the genre, combining shooter mechanics with RPG elements in a cyberpunk setting. This new edition was created by Night Dive Studios, known for the 2015's enhanced edition of the same game. System Shock Remake recreates the original story, taking the player to the Citadel space station. As an experienced hacker, the protagonist has to face Shodan - an artificial intelligence in control of the station. The gameplay mechanics of the original game remain at the core of this edition. Thus the game combines first-person shooter mechanics with elements of RPG and an extensive hacking system. Most of changes the remake brings are related to the visuals. These were made from scratch, in cooperation with Rob Waters - the level designer of the original game. Both the interface and controls were heavily reworked, in order for them to follow the standards of modern FPS.

A sequel to a best-selling FPP stealth game set in a universe that combines stylistics of the late Victorian era with steampunk elements. The title is a result of cooperation between Arkane Studios and the game’s publisher – Bethesda company. The sequel’s main heroine is Emily Kadwin, the daughter of the murdered empress, who joins forces with the empress’ former bodyguard Corvo, the protagonist of the previous game. The girl tries to reclaim the lost crown and take revenge on all responsible for the death of her mother. Gameplay mechanics did not change much, so you still are offered much freedom in the way you reach the game’s objectives. Depending on your preferences, you may either use stealth approach or engage in open conflicts. The game can be completed as either of the two heroes, whereas each one has slightly different abilities and fighting style. Just like the previous game, Dishonored 2 contains only single player gameplay with no cooperation mode.

After many perturbations haunting the series, the development has been commissioned to Arkane Studios, the creators of the Dishonored series. Prey is not a continuation per se, but rather a peculiar reboot of the original 2006’s installment of the game; both games share only the FPS science fiction setting and the necessity to single-handedly fight hostile extraterrestrials aboard a space station drifting through the cosmic void. The main protagonist is Morgan Yu – a man or a woman, depending on the player’s choice. Morgan is a part of a scientific project working towards enhancing the human race. As you are exploring 12 vast locations and follow the main questline, you will fight various enemies, such as orcs, goblins, trolls, and even dragons. The authors put much emphasis on creating realistic swordplay and offered players about 40 weapons as well as several dozen offensive spells. Story is nonlinear and its outcome is heavy reliant on our choices. Death of the Outsider takes us to the city of Karnaca known from Dishonored 2. We will visit many various locations during our adventures, like cultist hideouts or underground fight clubs. Concerning gameplay, the game basically does not differ from the first installment, although player gets a few new useful gadgets at his disposal, such as new types of arrows or an invisibility potion. Artificial intelligence algorithms and the range of potential reactions and behaviors of our opponents were significantly improved.

The third major installment in a cult series of first-person action-adventure games with RPG elements, whose first two parts were released back in the 1990s. System Shock 3 was developed by OtherSide Entertainment, previously known only for a fantasy RPG, Underworld Ascendant. However, the team also included people who worked on the first System Shock and all sorts of AAA games. The characteristic feature of the series is the skillful combination of an FPS with RPG and adventure elements (i.e. computer hacking as a puzzle). The long-standing main antagonist of this cyberpunk story is the powerful Artificial Intelligence called SHODAN – she returns in the series' third entry as well.

In the game, we assume the role of Corvo Attano, a former guard of the murdered empress who was falsely accused of killing her and force to reclaim his good name and take revenge on the actual murderers. The title is characterized by considerable freedom of action and the possibility of achieving a goal in multiple ways. Regardless of whether we want to act from the shadows or engage in direct combat, the game will adjust the plot to our actions and choices. Compared to the original version, the production features enhanced graphics as well as all the DLCs that were released after the launch of the vanilla edition of the game, including two major expansions: The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches.

The second major story expansion for BioShock: Infinite. It follows the events of the first expansion. However, this time we play not as Booker DeWitt but Elisabeth, who was previously an independent character, herself. The heroine wakes up in unknown circumstances with a pistol aimed at her face. She makes a promise which saves her from death. According to this obligation, she is supposed to help a group of people led by Atlas in their return to the underwater city of Rapture. In contrast to BioShock: Infinite and the first expansion, it focuses mainly on stealth. An additional feature of the game is the 1998 game mode (reminiscent of Thief's release date), which requires the player to complete the entire game without killing anybody.

An official DLC that expands the plot of the 2010’s BioShock 2 by 2K Games. The action of the expansion takes place at the same time as the events of the original. In Minerva’s Den, we assume the role of a completely new character, who joined forces with the original’s Brigid Tenenbaum, and visit previously unknown locations in the underwater city of Rapture, uncovering mysteries of its new governor and filling up some missing pieces of the plot of BioShock 2. The add-on features new kinds of weapons and plasmids as well as improved flying robots that now are now powerfully armed. We also encounter new enemies, including the previously unused variant of Big Daddy, and six new Little Sisters that can be either rescued or killed. The gameplay is focused solely on the single player mode and doesn’t introduce any novelties to the multiplayer.

The first story-based DLC for Arkane Studios' steampunk stealth game Dishonored, released in 2012. Expansion called The Knife of Dunwall allows you to look at the events shown in the base game from a completely different perspective. We play as the empress's murderer himself - leader of a group of assassins named Daud, who tries to redeem himself in the course of the game (and who, unlike Corvo from the "basic" game, received a full voiceover).

The second story expansion for Dishonored, a stealth action game created by Arkane. It continues the story of the first expansion - The Knife of Dunwall. Again, we play as the assassin of the empress, Daud, who departs for the lair of a witch by the name of Delilah in order to prevent her from carrying out a ritual that would allow for his final condemnation. To face the antagonist, and the coven she is the leader of, Daud has to explore the unknown districts of Dunwall and ally himself with the local gangs - Dead Eels and Hatters. The Brigmore Witches does not bring any significant changes to the gameplay, during which the player makes use of the powers brought in by the first expansion - Void Gaze, Blink, and Summon Assassin. The players can transfer their characters from the first expansion, keeping their previously acquired skills and weapons.

The first major story expansion for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided by Eidos Montreal. System Rift does not introduce any novelties into the gameplay mechanics, which still allows a lot of freedom of action and choice of one of several alternative ways to achieve a goal. A stealthy approach and careful observation is still the most profitable option, and awarded with numerous secret collectibles. The plot of the add-on is rich in plot twists. While playing, we are taken to Prague where Adam Jensen takes on a completely new mission. It was given to him by his former partner, Frank Pritchard, whom the protagonist owed a favor. The hero’s task involves infiltration of a local data bank. In its course, Adam Jensen has an opportunity to get to know several new characters better, a hacker named ShadowChild known from the Breach mode being the primary one.

A remastered version of the second installment of the popular BioShock series that was initially released in 2010 for PC and the 7th-generation consoles. In the game, we are once again taken to the underwater city of Rapture, featured in the original BioShock, and the gameplay is focused on exploration, solving puzzles, and fighting encountered hostiles. 2K Games, which remastered the title, focused solely on the single player campaign and therefore BioShock 2 doesn’t feature the multiplayer mode that was present in the original edition. The lack of it is compensated by a completely new mode called The Protector Trials — it is a set of challenges that are intended to test the player’s combat skills. In comparison with the original, the remastered version boasts enhanced textures and a native support of the 4K resolution. Thanks to that, the three-dimensional game powered by Unreal Engine still looks good despite its age.
