A mobile free-to-play strategy game. It is a spin-off of the cult series of economic simulators developed by EA Maxis. Similarly to the full-fledged entries in the series, the player assumes the role of a mayor of a virtual city. Their task is to secure the expansion of the metropolis and the happiness of its inhabitants while also maintaining the budget. During the game the player is raising new buildings, creating power lines and collecting taxes. The gameplay mechanics are slightly different as building each house requires delivering enough materials produced by factories and commercial buildings. Each decision must be taken with the budget and happiness in mind, and each wrong action can have bad consequences to the whole agglomeration. Additionally, the game is a subject to typical limitations of the free-to-play model – each construction and production process requires the player to wait a specific amount of time.

An economic strategy game focusing on social aspects. Truck Nation was created by Travian Games, and the Bright Future studio. The player assumes the role of The Corporation's former employee - a driver that suddenly got fired after years of hard work. Along with two acquaintances, the protagonist decides to establish his own company. At the beginning, they can afford only a decaying building and two rusty trucks. Over time however, the company grows and the protagonist can begin to gradually eliminate the competing companies in order to become the new leader. Gameplay takes place on authentic, though simplified, maps featuring characteristic buildings in particular cities. The player takes care of transporting hundreds of kinds of cargo, making use of nearly 50 trucks, which can be additionally modified. Furthermore, investing in new buildings, modernizing them, investing in the infrastructure, buying new trucks and expanding the operations are all an important part of the experience. The game is played in rounds - one lasts 12 weeks and gets dominated by the player who manages to have the largest share in the market. An opportunity to create alliances with other players makes it easier to defeat the competing companies - up to 25 players can be cooperating with each other within one such alliance.

You arrive at a world in which thousands of units, supported by the titular titans, wage war against each other. Gameplay comes down to fighting another battles, during which you have to skilfully manage your units – archers, warriors, pikemen, and the titular titans. Apart from that, you also need to develop your kingdom and create the necessary conditions for gathering a powerful army. Visuals, smooth animations, and the engine capable of generating thousands of troops at the same time – which is something rarely seen in mobile productions – are the biggest assets of this game.

What distinguishes this game from other ‘Clash of Clans’ clones is the implementation of the side perspective accompanied by the 2D visuals. Forts can be developed upwards with stairs, bridges, and some additional strategic infrastructure including defensive structures, traps, and watchtowers. The fort development process goes in line with training an army and gathering resources one can use during battles. When in combat, the player is tasked with razing enemy forts to the ground, both the AI-controlled and those belonging to other players. Moreover, one can call upon the mercenaries - who feature some special abilities themselves - to help the player's army.

The tactical layer is also more extensive — in battles, we can apply various formations, each having its pros and cons. The game features rich social options and the possibility of forming alliances.

The second layer revolves around the military – the player has to train their army and send the troops to battle in order to conquer the neighboring territories as well as bases belonging to other players (it is also worth considering to form strategic alliances with some players) or the AI. Unlike Clash of Clans, in The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, the player can move his fighting units with fewer limitations. Both factions fighting the war – forces of the Emperor of Mankind and the rebels supporting Warmaster Horus – offer unique structures, technologies, and units, all of which makes for a diversified and interesting game.
