The graphics in Dragon Quest Rivals are pleasant, made in manga style with vivid colors.

Moreover, from time to time, the protagonist faces powerful bosses; to defeat them, it is necessary to use more advanced tactic. Although the game focuses on arcade hand-to-hand combat, it does not lack a complex plot and script. Dragon Quest Heroes II offers three-dimensional graphics which resemble Japanese manga and anime stylistics.
