As the sport grew more and more popular the number of modifications in racing cars constantly increased, which translated into significantly better performance for the price of taking incredible risks. In the wake of numerous unsuccessful attempts to eradicate the brutal sport, the authorities eventually admitted their defeat and accepted it as an official sports discipline along with its TV broadcasts. The rules are incredibly simple: the players’ task is to reach the finish line as quickly as possible and preferably in one piece. What differentiates GRIP from traditional racing games is the unique construction of the cars that allows them to drive on nearly all surfaces, including ceilings.
